Running time: 1h 57min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Some characters are seen kissing.

Violence & Gore: The boat and men aboard and seen beaten about. Blood is seen on the foreheads of several of them.

A man falls into the water and is crushed against a boat, but there is no blood or gore.

Profanity: 2 uses of the "d" word, 5 "H" words, and several "Jesus" and "God" usages

Alcohol/Drugs/SmokingA few characters are seen drinking at a bar.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  This film is based on a true story of a successful rescue that occurred in New England in 1952. A coast guard and his team are assigned to rescue people on an oil tanker that had been wrecked by violent waves during a harsh storm. Although it is depicted as a suicide mission, the team soldiers on to make their way through the roaring waves to rescue the trapped crew.

The film contains scenes depicting water rushing into the wrecked ship, resulting in people and objects being thrown about in a chaotic manner.

During the rescue, some men are seen slammed against the side of the ship, with one person dying in the process. However, there is no depiction of injury.

In view of the intensity depicted in these scenes, parental guidance is recommended for viewing by younger children who may find the content unsettling and distressing.

Story: In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel.

Likes : This film is incredible storytelling of courage & bravery at it best to face nature most destructive force at sea to rescue 32 men stuck on a stricken oil tanker that has only hours before she sink like the rest of the ship did.

The fact this is based on a true story as well made it even better which i didnt even realise until the end of the film , the film is based on history of Bernard C. Webber (played by Chris pine) (May 9, 1928 – January 24, 2009) was a United States Coast Guardsman. He was a petty officer assigned to Station Chatham, Massachusetts and part of his duties were that of coxswain of Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat CG 36500.

Webber and his crew of three rescued the crew of the stricken tanker SS Pendleton, which had broken in half during a horrific storm on February 18, 1952 off Cape Cod. Webber maneuvered the 36-foot lifeboat under the Pendleton's stern with expert skill as the tanker's crew, trapped in the stern section, abandoned the wreck of their ship on a Jacobs ladder into the Coast Guard motor lifeboat.

It was kind of weird the way Chris pine played this role but knowing this was based on a true story i assume that how Barnard was , which if i can assume must of has slight autism just but the way he was taking & acting its a brilliant performance from Chris pine.

Holliday Grainger playing the love interest & future wife of Bernard's Miriam Webber who he married in April 16th 1952 stayed married for 58 years until Bernard death in 2009 at the age 81.
Her performance in this film was just outstanding in showing a worried engaged woman worried for her future husband to make it back safe in the most dangerous enivorment on earth.

It without a doubt one of the most intense , heart breaking roller-coast film that like perfect storm , of men trying to survive the most dangerous sea's while trying to keep half a boat afloat until they are rescued. It because a film of will they survive which make this film hearting breaking , intense & very satisfying to watch with good special effect & visual effect to add the scene believable at sea during a storm.
Special with almost a full cast of stars your probley recognise like Chris pine, Casey AffleckAbraham Benrubi ( who actually looks like WWE kain ) , Keiynan Lonsdale ,  Josh Stewart ,Graham McTavishHolliday Grainger Kyle GallnerEric Bana & Ben Foster bring you a spectacular film.

If you love perfect storm this is a film i highly reconmend , its easily a film to dismiss if you not sure about it but trust me this film is brilliant & worth checking out.

In honor of those brave men who to this day who got the gold Lifesaving medal for what they did on the night of February 18th 1952 is still considered the great small boat rescue in coast guard history.

Dislikes :  There isn't really must to say about anything in the film being unbelievable because stranger things have happened in life, but for half a boat to that smashed in two the front half of the ship sunk taking with it its captain & other crew manges to stay a float for 5 hours at least before sinking.
Now if you were to nick pick at that yes you would see that as just dramatising the film a bit, but accord to the report this actually happened which is nothing short of a miracle if that was true.
But apart from that there isn't anything else to say was not believable.

Overall : Roller-coaster on intense & emotional scenes, great story of courage & bravery, brilliant told true story.

Film Review: Huntsman 2: Winter Wars

Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama

Cert: 12A

Director: Cedric Nicolas-Troyan

Screen writer: Evan Spiliotopoulos  (written by) and  Craig Mazin  (written by) Evan Daugherty (characters

Starring: Jessica Chastain , Chris Hemsworth , Sam Claflin , Emily Blunt , Charlize Theron , Sophie Cookson , Sheridan Smith , Colin Morgan , Ralph Ineson, Nick Frost , Alexandra Roach ,Jadey Duffield ,  Rob Brydon , Sam Hazeldine , Jonathan Buckhouse

Running time: 1h 54min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: There is a non-explicit depiction of sexual activity in the film that is not detailed or prolonged.

In the film, a sensual scene of intimacy is featured depicting a couple passionately kissing and undressing each other. As the man pulls down the woman's dress strap, there is fleeting side-view nudity of the woman as they continue kissing

Violence & Gore: The film contains several scenes of moderate violence, involving the use of weapons such as swords, wooden staffs, and bow & arrow.

There are also scenes depicting hand-to-hand combat, involving exchanges of blows, and scenes of battle violence with limited bloodletting. For example, there is a scene in which a man's hand is severed during a fight, leaving him with a stump with little detail seen, and a scene where a man stabs a female character and she falls backwards, with blood smeared on the ice wall behind her.

Profanity: Alot of insulting words with adult profanity though out the film.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Beer is seen at a bar in pub-in

Frightening/Intense Scenes: 'The Huntsman: Winter's War' is a sequel to 'Snow White and the Huntsman'. In this installment, the huntsman has to go on a quest to find the Magic Mirror. The Magic Mirror was once possessed by the evil queen who has since died, and the Ice Queen wants it as part of her ploy for world domination.

Story: As two evil sisters prepare to conquer the land; two renegades - Eric the Huntsman - who previously aided Snow White in defeating Ravenna, and his forbidden lover, Sara set out to stop them.

Likes : I'm glad to say this is an improvement over the last film entitled snow white & the huntsmen , would i say its a 12A - pg13 not really , there are moment in this film special with the banter it does take a turn in the adult humour which is a little over the certification the film got which i would say this film is 15 cert tops but funny moments that will make you laugh.

The story is pretty good although some moment i did feel the film felt off but most of the rest of film is well play out , even the concept worked for the film which is a good thing because this time its a little more darker then before , i would say a little emotional there are a few scene that can bring you to tears.

The film is kind of clever in a way using the prequel / sequel theme  as we see the past that gives us a in-depth back story of the beginning as we learn that ravenna has a sister Freya played brilliantly by the beautiful Emily Blunt who has power's as well , but due to certain event's become very cold hearted & evil.
As the story unfolds from the past it slowly moves to the future to a point 7 years after Ravenna played by Charlize Theron was defeated by snow white army which we saw in snow white & huntsman.

This is where the film continues on the sequel part of the film , where we get a narrative from iam nelson explaining parts of the film giving us a good in-depth story of the gap in the years as we learn true evil never dies.
Playing the part of the ice queen Freya (Emily Blunt) played this role with perfection , this is why i love her as an actress because every role she is given she amerce  her self in to the character & become the character that is great acting to bring the character out on screen to give a believable performance.
The way she play this role is that of a person that believe love is a lie & empty with a cold heart so she goes out of her way to destroy anything that involves love  , yet her appearance seemed calm & relaxed in her scenes she wasn't someone to cross which you could see with the character.

Charlize Theron returns as the evil mirror witch Ravenna brilliant performance as once again show us that she can play the seriously dark evil person that she was in the first film , only as we find out she no longer the human she once was & now more powerful.

Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the huntsman who we saw in the first film as we get to a back story of where he original came from & who brought him up which make an interest back story for his character as you get to see where he got his skills as a fighter.

New casting for the film playing a some what love interest for the huntsman played by the beautiful Jessica Chastain playing Sara who put in a awesome performance as a skilled fighter & well as a the romantic moments , im start to not only find her acting as an actress brilliant but she also a very beautiful woman its always great to see her in good role.

Jessica plays off Chris Hemsworth brilliantly in this film with on screen chemistry which help the film's more believe to the the audience sells the film perfectly , as we come to the comical side of the film which is absolutely funny which come from the dwarf characters.

Rob Brydon , Nick Frost , Alexandra Roach & Sheridan Smith bring the comical side of the film as dwarf , i mean seriously funny banter which  i was actually surprised with being funny , there are moments though out this film these guys were almost stealing the film because of the funniness which is great because they put 4 people together that actually play off each other in comedy which is very rare.
This made the film more entertaining even the audience behind me in the cinema were laugh , there was a few moment with the banter your like you didnt just say that, there was a few ohhhh moments with what is said , this is what make for great film to watch.

I will say this better improvement over the first film , not perfect but great film to watch.

Dislikes : There is a few moments in the film that feel off in the editing part , like at the beginning like something was about to happen but the scene change in a different direction which was a little off, some scene kind of few flat, but that all i could see in the way of flaws in the film because the rest of the fim was ok.

Overall : Great visual effect , perfect acting, great funny moments. great film.

Rating: 4.8 out of 5 for entertainment / 8 out of 10 for prequel /sequel concept

Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

Likes : I've watch this series of film from the start im starting to notice thing about this series with this hidden political message about the way the human race is & why we are failing as one.
It's a very intelligent way of putting it across the series of film's in a way if you don't notice it you wont see message in its whole concept.

With this 3rd installment your get the message of dividing people in the factions (our world religion) your dividing people in a way they are cause conflict with each other , which is perfectly show in this film with the way it play out.
Unlike the first too film this film explore beyond the wall,  where you find out that the city was being used as an experiment to sperate people & see is pure & who is damaged which is a clever concept.

The beautiful Shailene Woodley putting another great performance playing more a lend role in this one , slightly getting suck in to something new but realise that thing never change she give the truth which reveals some that was hidden from her when they arrived at the new city.

I will this series of film as gotten better as they go , what funny is Miles Teller character peter ever gonna learn because it kind of twice now betray them & still ends up being screwed over , it the old classic thing you reap what you sow which shows brilliant every-time is disloyal.

The visual effect are brilliantly done as well, special with the designs of the city's & the flying craft's add to the futuristic feel , as well as the surrounding areas shows very realistic world where the world has complete destroyed itself .

Does complete open its self to a fourth film , two which war could be coming , so if you loved the first 2 films your gonna love this film as it more political than the other two but a pretty good film to watch.

Dislikes : There is a slightly pace issue with the film it does tend to be a little too slow at times, but not to much where is at a crawling pace.

Overall : Pretty good 3rd installment , a little slow in place but all in all great film

Cert: 12A

Director: Zack Snyder

Running time: 2h 31min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: main character in the bath naked nothing is shown. Main character with their shirts off.

Violence & Gore: The violent scene are brutal & fast not really suit for anyone under pg13

Profanity: One F word.

Alcohol/Drugs/SmokingAlcohol is seen bring drunk by a main characters

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The second & third act of this film is very intense & emotional

Story: Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth. As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction

Likes : Wow where do i start............... The one thing i notice was Chris Terrio screen writing for the second & third act of the film which was clear that could of jumped out at the screen on you , because they were some of the best choreograph scene ive ever scene in a super hero film , so im expecting Chris terrio to do amazing job with justice league film in 2017.

Some of the visual effect in this film were just outstanding special in the fights scene that added that the intenseness to the battle which ive never felt more gripped to the screen. Costume design are brilliantly done, special batman new suit is awesome which i noticed was bullet prove & knife protected , woman woman suit was awesome looking as well.

As for casting Zack Snyder actually did a fantastic job with this film & i'm actually shock with Jesse Eisenberg playing lex luthor , i was expect a really bad performance but he actually raised my expectation in playing this psychotic ,  mentally unstable,  antagonistic attitude character of Lex which actually work for the film.

Ben Aflleck
dam what a performance as batman bring this battle - warn out of control vigilante batman that has seen so much death around him. He's become even more darker over the years becoming less human with a no holes barred brutal combatant with this cruel dont give a crap if someone dies attitude.
Which is a shock to fan because normally weve had version of batman that does kill, But i could understand why this version of batman was out of control Ben portray this prefect on screen.

OMG Gal Gadot as wonder woman which people had their doubt about her playing this role but omg she nailed it with class , Zack synder cast choice here was perfect. The way she come off on screen during the battle with that smirk on her face like she was loving this fight was awesome.

What really made her character stand out more is they didnt make her into this weak woman concept like most film would do , they really respected the lure of wonder woman gave her this strength of warrior which showed on screen as a total bad ass woman.

Henry Cavil returning as superman looking more buff & actually look more like superman than ever & the direction they took this with superman is brilliant , they gave it a more emotional concept as superman is confronted with hatred & people calling him a murder.
With henry performance it really help show the the character of superman having doubts about being a superhero , but you could see throughout the film events were push the people to really put pressure on him you could see the conflict in him which made him look more human on screen i like that direction's.

As we know from the trailer with doomsdays i love the way they introduced this because it wasn't forced or felt out of place , although people were complaining about doomsday not look the way he does with the bone spikes people forget that doomsday evolves.
This was the clever thing about this film , is the way they did this evolving thing with every hit doomsday was taking it was getting big & more aggressive which was done in a awesome way , most people would be pleased with.

Yes there was a few flaws at the begin but despite that this film was just outstanding special the fight scene with batman & superman when the first battle each other , what i like is the trailer show this fight in the way that those two just see each other as enemy's they just go at each other.
Yet the film actually build the tension up & events from an
antagonistic prick that set up things in motion which force the heroes hands & lends to the show down is perfectly dont in the film really sales the scene.

As for the direction of the end of the film ya i kind of like it , it was emotional it leaves you think what the hell this cant be , but if you look at the way the story unfolds with the people of earth it set it up brilliant for the justice league film in 2017.

Now the nightmare scene with Dark sied scene where superman has gone serious evil , is actually set up in a most spectacular way you understand why this scene is actually in the film which is joined with a certain cameo character which was awesomely done & clever.

With the other Cameo scene i was actually amazed on how well they handles Aqua man , the flash, Cyborg scene in this film introducing them to them to the DCCU, which iam not looking forward to seeing in the justice league , which looks to actually be Dark sied so this will be interesting to see the justice league.

As for the negative reviews from the critics seriously do not take their negative reviews as gospel , seriously I when in to this film with an open mind , view it with my own eye yes there are a few things that feel off but the film is intense & emotional , its a worth while film to watch.

Dislikes : My only two gripes is the screen writing at the beginning , dont get me wrong these scene are good & well written to gave the film some purpose leading to events i like the conventionality from Man of steel that sold the scene lends to why the fight between them is gonna happen.
The but the problem is the editing of these scenes , were to short like they were trying to cram every scene in before the second act , it did slightly ruin the flow of the film.
Which can destroy a film if it to much with it's slow start . these scene should have been a little longer instead of the one shot here then changing to a different scene then to another scene it felt off.

The second gripe i have is almost at the end of batman fighting with superman , there is a bit where im not sure whether they used C.G.I or it the way the scene was shot , it felt a little robotic with C.G.I not sure if anyone else noticed this but it was a little off like some bad editing C.G.I sneak in to the film.

These are the own two thing i found wrong with the film ,  so everyone is complaining about nothing ya i know people have their own opinions but this isn't as bad has it made out to be.

Overall : gripping , intense fight action, perfect casting & almost a perfect film but still brilliant.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9 out of 10 for story direction & casting

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: none

Frightening/Intense Scenes: none

Story: When a strange virus quickly spreads through a safari park and turns all the zoo animals undead, those left in the park must stop the creatures before they escape and zombify the whole city.

Likes : I really dont know how to say this film is shockingly bad , the only two thing i can say that is good, it that its not your typical human zombie film's that have been done to death, which is a plus side in the concept of it being zombie animals.
The thing is the acting is some what bearable at time so it does have though two things working for it , but sadly its not enough to stop this film being seriously bad.

Dislikes : Where do i start, there are so many thing bad about this film is shocking these film ever make it to DVD, the c.g.i is so poor & cheap looking it look fake & the scene with the gorilla some of it is bad C.G.I & half of it looks like a guy in a cheesy costume shop gorilla suit that so fake it just make this film even worst.
There is a few seen where the diology is really bad along with its cuts scene it like this film has been made by an amateur but this is what you should expect from asylum pictures cheap, fake looking movies that end up being shown on syfy channel with all the other poor film's.
Unless your a fan of asylum film i would avoid this trash.

These people that make this low budget film's on a low budget should not use C.G.I its cheap & tacky on screen it look fake, on these budget animatronic should be use only because it look better with a low budget than force a poorly made C.G.I effect film because it looks bad.

Overall : Not worth watching unless your a asylum film fan

Film Review: Gods of Egypt

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Cert: PG-13

Director: Alex Proyas

Screen writer: Matt Sazama,  Burk Sharpless

Starring: Brenton Thwaites , John Samaha , Courtney Eaton , Nikolaj Coster-Waldau , Paula Arundell , Alia Seror-O'Neill , Emily Wheaton , Elodie Yung , Rachael Blake , Bryan Brown , Michael-Anthony Taylor , Emma Booth , Felix Williamson , Chadwick Boseman , Gerard Butler

Running time: 2h 7min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: The film contains a brief scene of intimacy between Set and Hator. Set is seen lying next to Hator on a bed and kissing her on the lips. The scene then cuts to the couple waking up in bed, where they are implied to be naked though no nudity is shown

Violence & Gore: Violence occurs periodically over the course of the film, mostly involving hand-to-hand combat between the Egyptian Gods where they are seen trading forceful blows with their weapons.

In some combat sequences, some characters are seen impaled by sharp weapons.

One of the stronger sequences depicts a combat between a group of 'minotaurs' [half bull, half man creatures] and the Egyptian Gods, Horus and Set. It contains depictions of a minotaur's calf being severed by a sword; a minotaur being cut in half; and another minotaur being beheaded by Set, with its severed bull's head seen briefly rolling across the ground.

While the scenes of violence contain some details of injuries, the impact is mitigated by the fantasy setting of the film where the characters are mythical creatures which bleed golden-blood. The film also does not dwell on the infliction of pain and suffering.

Profanity: Mildly strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: none

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Some scene can be pretty intense.

Story: Set, the merciless god of darkness, has taken over the throne of Egypt and plunged the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Few dare to rebel against him. A young thief, whose love was taken captive by the god, seeks to dethrone and defeat Set with the aid of the powerful god Horus.

Likes : First of all yes this film flop badly in box office, which is understandable because viewing this film there are moment when im actually shaking my head at. Now dont get me wrong most of the film is great to watch there are bit's in this film i actually liked but there are bit that are awful.

The base of the film story it's a brilliant concept using the gods as actually living among the people of Egypt, it actually does a good job with the mythological side although not historically right since it doesnt use any Egyptian actors which warrants the back lash it got.

Do i think the film could of been better done on $140,000,000 budget yes because there are a few thing wrong with this film which i will put in the dislikes.
The casting although no Egyptian involved does do somewhat of a good job with there performances that they are given , Gerard Butler character that he play,  he doesnt a great job at play the evil god of darkness set although some things felt a little off .
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau playing the nephew Horus who does a great performance as the god hero of the film with some awesome transformation scenes.

The visual effect & C.G.I are somewhat great but alot of this film is bad on visual effect which im surprised with because of the budget this film has had, but the film as a whole its has bad as its made out to be but its far from being a perfect film which i feel could of done been better.

Dislikes : Several thing i noticed as to why this film flopped it the script writing, the casting is great but some of the dialog is awful on curtain characters special with the way the director has portrayed Set played but Gerard butler.
He dose a good job with what he given but he could have been give a more ruthless concept because his character was a little too tone down for a god of darkness.

There was a few other dialog moment though out the film that just felt off like the writers dont know what they are doing, it just didnt feel epic enough like it was missing something.

Apart from certain good c.g.i moments there are some seriously bad visual & .C.G.I moment like they got completely lazy with the effect & done the C.G.I on a very low budget, special with set's general that look like bulls or Minotaur the C.G.I is so poorly done it looks bad on screen.

The other visual effect are with green screen, some scene are good because it using the same effect it didnt with lord of the rings, but some of the green screen effect really show in this film, it was actually made the film look fake as if the characters weren't were they were at time, this is done to poor editing team. Apart from that the rest of the film was actually good but not good enough to pass as a cinema realise.

Overall : Great concept poorly edited, poor visual effect & C.G.I in some scene, good performance despite the lack script.

Rating: 4.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.1 out of 10 for concept

Likes : Gerard Butler is back !!!!!! You know there is one person in the world that fight on the side of the good that you just dont want to mess with well Mike Banning is one such man reprised by Gerard Butler, who is on top form with this sequel.
Just like the first film Olympus has fallen where mike banning got put in the middle of a terrorist attack on the white house, this takes place in London on a routine funeral attendance when attack comes from a world most wanted list gun runner attack the city putting Mike Banning in the seat to protect the president again.

Unlike before the scene's in this squeal is more intense & brutal as the film flow on a steady pace as you see the city falling apart, ya the were a few scene where it felt off but the film has a whole is a fast pace action film of intense & emotional moments.
One thing about this this that break up the tension is the funny one-liners between Mike banning &  president Benjamin Asher played brilliantly again by Aaron Eckhart who actually get a bit of a action scene in this one for a brief moment.

The film does start off a little slow but once the action starts,  it all fast paced from there with alot strong language & funny banter that make this a very good squeal, It a little strange seeing that back set on London street, it was like watch a series in London only it's a film that bring on twice the action & more bad guys. A film i can reconmend watching if you loved the first film.

Dislikes : Some c.g.i scene were questionable with the explosion but the film as a whole was actually good.

Overall : Fast pace action, intense moments funny banter, good squeal
