Likes :This is a smart movie, thought provoking, and has numerous twists and turns that take you in different directions than you anticipate. Solid acting and performances by all special Caity lotz, excellent casting, appropriate motivations & emotions for all characters (not clichéd, but nuanced, and sometimes guarded, sometimes unchecked & raw, as situationally appropriate when one is working and being monitored in ultra secret MoD environments on a high tech war footing, when lives are at stake, and government paranoia is omni-present), especially Vincent and the Machine, and the damaged soldiers being experimented upon. Vincent is a world weary brilliant scientist who is using the MoD to save his daughter & to carve out some semblance of a "normal" family life against an uncertain and dangerous global Cold War, and has to walk a dangerous tightrope. This is one of Toby Stephens best performances of his career, and he is completely believable as the tortured protagonist.
Caity Lotz (star of series arrow aka black canary) performance in this film was outstanding, were looking at a brilliant future actress here that plays this almost human like cyborg Ava who has the intelligence to think & learn for her self, just the way she perform's this role is very believable, its one of the hardest thing to act like a machine she pulled this off with ease really made this film a top notch film for the budget it had.
This is a type of film that has that terminator / metropolis feel to it but done is such a brilliant way it takes a low budget film to a brilliant made film, the C.G.I looks like its had some money throw into it because it doesn't look fake which is a plus for this film also with a very atmospheric feel from start to finish. The cold blue lighting and soft focus lense work helps create a very solemn mood that all the best Sci-Fi flicks have and the cinematography is absolutely spectacular, which has the feel of a blade runner film.
This is a film i recommend to all sc-fi fan's because this is just absolutely brilliantly made from director Caradog W. James who look to be the next big sc-fi director.

Dislikes : Pace of the film could of been a bit faster but all in all brilliantly made film

Overall :  very atmospheric, Brilliant C.G.I, well written story, brilliant acting from all.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9.8 out of 10 for Sc-fi concept/ Storyline
