Story: When Air Force One is shot down by terrorists leaving the President of the United States stranded in the wilderness, there is only one person around who can save him - a 13-year old boy called Oskari. In the forest on a hunting mission to prove his maturity to his kinsfolk, Oskari had been planning to track down a deer, but instead discovers the most powerful man on the planet in an escape pod. With the terrorists closing in to capture their own "Big Game" prize, the unlikely duo must team up to escape their hunters. As anxious Pentagon officials observe the action via satellite feed, it is up to the President and his new side-kick to prove themselves and survive the most extraordinary 24 hours of their lives.

Likes : I'm not disappointed in this film but it dose have a few missing opportunity that could of gone in to this film which is a shame because the film has a great start & a great concept, Big Game is unapologetically old school (that school being founded in 80's Hollywood) although this feel like a action Disney film as there's non of the grittiness and wannabe-maturity or seriousness of recent Hollywood action movies targeted which this is more targeted for the younger audience (like Hunger Games, Man of Steel etc.).
There's direct references to 80's Spielberg movies like E.T. and Indiana Jones, but the movie it resembles mostly is Cliffhanger with the mountaineering action 90's style action starring Sylvester Stallone. Finnish-born Hollywood action director Renny Harlin, and the writer-director of Big Game, Jalmari Helander (whose second feature film this is), Finn himself, was a young man dreaming of becoming a filmmaker when Harlin had his heyday in late 80's and early 90's with movies like Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger, and Harlin was a big deal in Finland (and I guess in Hollywood too) at that time (not so much anymore.
personally my throughts on the film are that its a pretty fun film to watch, even if it didn't bring anything really new to the table (in fact it found the old leftovers and served them with fresh dressing). Movie like this could be really stiff and boring if done poorly which im glad this wasnt although there are a few flaws in the film (it has actually pretty impressive action scenes with such small budget), or armpit-fartingly tryhard and unfunny (Snakes on a Plane), but thanks to the cast - especially Samuel L. Jackson ("Get these *beep* terrorists out of these *beep* Finnish mountains!)**** and young Onni Tommila whose unexpected relationship carries this movie through the more cliché-ridden landscapes - and the earnestness of the director, it managed to breathe some life into the already-done-to-death tropes of the genre and gave the world what it didn't know it needed: Spielberg-flavored Renny Harlin!

Dislikes : The few flaws in this film are the fact a guy get brought in tell everyone the plot of how thing have happen yet no one find that suspicious as he tells play by play of whats going on. The film is a little to short its one of those film that is over before it starts, i feel there is a miss opportunity here to make this a little longer.

Overall : Fun & great film, little short but not bad.

Rating: 5 out out 5 for entertainment / 6 out of 10 for concept.

Story: Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as "Tomorrowland."

Likes : I've got say this film is one of the best original sci-fi films that hasn't been adapted from a book, it one of those film that going to get mixed reviews as not lot of people will understand the plot of the film as it dosent really have a villain or hero, it more of a inspirational message to the people of earth to never give up so easy.
I love the way it use's the Metaphor of life: Two wolves in the forest always fighting, always at each other throats, The black wolf represents : Darkness, Pain & Despair, The white wolf represents: light, love & harmony. Who wins? that depends on which you feed more.
Its basically saying that giving up is easy its take the creative mind of dreamers to actual push to make a better world which this film beautifully puts across, as you see the fate of the human race, basically the way we are now because all we do is give up & look at darkness all the time instead of seeing the world & seeing that we have a chance to save it from destruction if with just look at the brighter side of things.
The visual effects in this film are stunning in show a 'Tomorrowland', a city bustling futuristic metropolis where world's brightest minds are gathered together to save the world from impending destruction. It's a place with 'Perfection' written all over it: trains zoom across the sky through air rails snaking between and around looming skyscrapers, while other airborne automobiles fly here and there like the entire space between sky and earth is nothing but a single boulevard, layers of waterpools hang adrift in the air, and swimmers swoop down from one to another, while flare rockets surge toward the sky in whistling upward projections.
The start of the film we given a slight back story of  George Clooney's character as a child inventor who discovers a whole new world, brilliant performance as always from clooney, which is funny at the start as he try to tell his story but get interrupted every mid sentence by Britt Robertson character Casey Newton which if you have a sense of humor you might laugh at or not.
But the film as a whole give a message which rely on heavy humanity concept which some people with there reviews don't seem to grasp the concept which is a shame but perfect example of why this film put across. This is a film worth checking out

Dislikes : Some might not understand this film, so this will be a film really your love or hate.

Overall : great visual effects, brilliant acting, Great reflection of humanity.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.8 out of 10 for original concept

A boy is attacked by a toy clown.

A rotted corpse jumps out of the ground.

Profanity:  Couple uses of "shit, "balls" and "ass."

Alcohol/Drugs/SmokingThe parents drink whiskey.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  It's a horror movie, but since it's PG-13, it isn't as intense as other R rated ones.

Story: Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan reimagine and contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.

Likes : First viewing this film from the trailer i actual wasn't going to watch this in the cinemas at first because it just looks bad from the trailer , but i decide to watching it anyway but lowered my expectation on viewing the film. So did it live up the hype?............ well yes & no , there is a few flaw nothing major to say this film was god awful because it dose have it moment that really dose get you on edge & creeps you out.
What iam surprised with is the fact that this is a reboot of the original film yet its set years after carol Ann's family haunting hence the reason for the name change of the family in this film, in other word this should by all means should of been a sequel to the original film by it being poltergeist 4 in a way.
I love the way they give curtain nods to the original film in this which are cleverly placed at key moments throughout the film , in honest yes this film dose have its moments that make you jump but it comes across more as a contemporary horror more than what the original poltergeist did to scare the audience.
There are moments in this film that really dose make you shiver with a cold chill as it dose keep manage to keep dark atmospheric creepy tone though the first & second act when you start to see thing happening , kind of like the original things are all fun & games until things start to really kick off.
Director Gil Kenan really hasn't done a bad job here to be-honest even im happy with this result, she actual done something that we never really saw in the original film's ,which im impressed with it actually explore in more detail what the other side actual looks like, the special effect with the C.G.I here is stunning.
It best describe as looking at a very evil cold dark hellish world which actual made the film alot better than what it is, this was never really explored with the original which is a shame but still the original has the edge in seriously freak out scary moments.
Some of the acting is almost perfect but Kennedi Clements performance serious stole the lime light in this movie, it was just outstanding performance for child actress, she is one to look out for in the future in the industries because we have a rising star here, she has this cuteness about her in this film playing Madison Bowen.
In a way you kind of love to have a daughter like her with a qukie sense of humor that just adorable, but her performance reacting to each situation in the film is outstanding. The one thing this film dose have against it is just the fact it doesn't really offer anything new because its almost the same as the original although there are like i said a few add nods & things happen in the film that the original didn't show so in a way its going to be a film you iver love or hate here.

Dislikes : The flaws in the film is the fact it seem to be over before it started, it was a little two quick in story like it was missing alot of scene, i think this is where this film could of had extra scene to just give the film a more creep dark atmosphere moments when the investors were in the house, it just felt a bit too short in that fact.
In the original film there were more scene before they got carol Ann back, this is where i think this film could of been improved , the ending kind of was a great ending to be honest its was a little to much of a happy ending & being in a situation like that this family wouldn't be all fun & games.
Other flaws some of the dialog kind of fall flat which ruins the pace of the film in some places ,  Jared Harris character i just wasn't feeling as being a serious character, step in to the house only being their 5 mins said their dealing with a pissed off poltergeist REALLY!!!!!!!
There should have been more of a build up here to that talk, that felt rushed to me, don't get me wrong his a good actor but he no Zelda Rubinstein from the original, she had a way about her that kept the original film with this dark creepy atmosphere as she speaks to them about what it is that has taken their daughter it really did put chills down my spine which sadly i wasn't feeling that from Jared Harris character which is a shame.

Overall : Great visual effects, some jump scary moments, Kennedi Clements is awesome, Felt part were missing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7 out of 10 for concept.

Film Review: Mad Max: Fury Road

Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

Cert: give a 15 cert, But should of been 18 cert.

Director: George Miller

Screen writer: George Miller, Brendan McCarthy , Nick Lathouris

Starring:  Tom Hardy , Charlize Theron , Nicholas Hoult , Hugh Keays-Byrne , Josh Helman , Nathan Jones , Zoë Kravitz , Rosie Huntington-Whiteley , Riley Keough , Abbey Lee , Courtney Eaton , John Howard , Richard Carter , Iota , Angus Sampson

Running time: 120 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: A nude woman is seen atop a tower where she is partially naked and appears to be in distress but everything is covered up by her very long hair and rope

Several women are seen pumping breast milk into a large pot. Breasts are showing but nipples are covered by pumps. A man then drinks a bottle of the milk.

It's implied that the villain rapes women and they are referred to as "breeders".

Violence & Gore: Frequent scenes of violence and threat include sustained vehicular chase scenes. These include scenes where people fight, are shot and stabbed, or run over by vehicles. However, injury detail is limited, but some scenes do show bloody violence.

There is also a scene in which a man is struck on the chest by a chainsaw, which is followed by a brief blood spurt as flesh and matter spray around him.

Many people are crushed by cars, bodies are seen going under the wheels

A man is riddled with bullets, blood sprays and one bullet hits his eye which explodes.

A character is stabbed in the side, the wound seeps blood.

Various hand to hand fights with bloody noses and cuts.

Many people are shot, with shots of spurting blood.

A man's hand is hit by an arrow. We can see the arrow stuck in his hand. He pulls the arrow out.

A man's face is ripped off, and blood is shown flying through the air. His body is later seen briefly with a bloody patch in place of his jaw and nose.

A dying pregnant woman is given an emergency cesarean section in hopes of saving her unborn child. The operation is hidden by the body of the man performing it; nothing is seen but the umbilical cord as he cuts it with his teeth. The fetus is not shown but the man states that it was too pre-term to have survived

Profanity:  1 use of fuck and other mild language is used infrequently throughout

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A few characters spray a metallic silver paint over their mouths

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The film features numerous intense, edgy car chases that host scarred, disfigured, and unnatural individuals. The dark, twisted themes of survival, preservation, and violence are lightened by the presence of slight comic relief and over-the-top action.

Story: An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Likes : I kind of went in to this film with a low expectation just in case because once you've see one mad max film they tend to feel the same like you've seen it all before but surprising that this film isnt that bad although i did notice a flaw in the film story, so could i say this was a master piece sadly no but still a great entertaining film.
Its hard to say weather this is a reboot or a continuation of the other film, but i would say this is a reboot because mad max would be very old by now & not young looking, its a reboot for sure.
I will hand it to the director George Miller he has captured the visual effect & concept of the original film's, which seem to capture story part of mad max 2 & mad max 3 beyond the thunder dome, with a add war over water this time inst of oil which works for the film.
Tom Hardy has replaced Mel Gibson in the role of Max, and he does a really good job in the role but dosent seem to stand out to much in the film as Charlize Theron as Furiosa, she dose kind of steel the limelight in this film, with her character Furiosa who honestly is right up there with the strong female roles like Ellen Ripley from the original Alien and Sarah Connor from Terminator as one of the most bad ass female characters in a movie.
Nicholas Hoult return in the movie bring the bad ass villain with a great performance, and Hugh Keyas- Bryne is great as the villain as well. The visual effect with the C.G.I is pretty stunning & well done with the choreography & stunt work dose add to the realise of the film's story which im pleased with, special with the action sequences some brutal scene.
Overall this was a perfect film but for the action & visual effect yes this film dose entertain, but i cant help but feel this was missing something that could of been added to the film part from that its worth watching for the action.

Dislikes : Sorry but ive got to be brutality honest here, The start of the film just throws you in the action which is ok but i feel there is a missed opportunity here to do a back story of max because through out the film if feels like its missing alot like something has been cut from the film all were getting is slight flash backs.
The other thing as well is the fact yes this film is entertaining with action & visual effect but where was the character development there is just none to be seen, making this just an action film with visual effects which is ashame because it could of been mush better with character development being in the film, this is why i feel is the reason why hasn't made as much money on opening weekend as it could of done.
But the film dose feel like some part have been cut from the film because it would have been to long in the cinema hopeful there will be extended version on dvd
.
Overall : Overall great choreography in action, great acting, brilliant visual effects.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.7 out of 10 for concept

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: none

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  This film contains scene that are extremely intense & frightening that some viewer may find disturbing. Recommend age 18+

Story: On the aftermath of a horrific massacre that happen years before, five college students, brutally murdered inside a decrepit, abandoned home. Detective Mark Lewis and the police departments psychologist, Dr. Elizabeth Klein, question one of the few survivors, who explains they were amateur ghost hunters seeking out paranormal phenomenon at the abandoned house, believed to be haunted. Only what started out as a harmless activity turned into something truly terrifying, and the suspect claims the responsibility doesn't lie with any of the inhabitants but with the house itself.

Likes : I will admit this film kept me on my toes, that actual dosent normal happen with me when it come to horror film's , as most of them are predictable at best sometime but this im actual impressed with the director direction in this film.
He's actual done something right here in keep the main plot of the film until the very end, giving the audience the scary unpredictable moments which give the twist in the film perfect.
Although this film dose have a flaw, it manages to actual keep the whole film very atmospheric that keep the audience on edge all the way though so the when you actual get the jump moments & yes there are moment that will make you jump out of your skin, it give a very psychological feel.
This is not all like your normal found footage type film its more of a present & past type of film where we see the story unfold from the moments when the group were in the house to after when the police are investigating. Its a great balance of scene that switching between the two.
Psychological side of this film is extremely frighten as some moments really dose make you jump they have use the cheap scare tactics that most horror use to day which was an added bonus to the film, because the jump moment were actual genuine scary moments.
The acting in this film is brilliantly done , perfect performance from all the cast of this film, showing believable characters in a real situation. I don't believe this is a 5 out of 10 film that is a little unfair & underrated for this film because from what ive seen of this film this is a pretty good psychological horror film that worth check out.

Dislikes : The only flaw in this film i kind of found is that it felt like part of this film were missing as if these part were take out by the director because it would leave the film to long but i feel if these part were taken out they should have been left in as it feel the film had been cut & re-edited.

Overall : very frightening, genuine frightening jump moments, dark & atmospheric

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.1 out of 10 for concept.

Story: "Strange Magic," a new animated film, is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.

Likes : I cant believe this film got so many bad reviews, seriously this is a pick me up film that actual make you laugh & lifts your mood with great animation & brilliantly time music numbers that really dose bring this film to life.
Intelligent humor in this film is brilliant for the storytelling not only for the adults but for children a well, with a add unexpected love story which really add to a well made animated film. The animation its self is beautiful done with C.G.I character, each one of them has their own personal characteristic which in some scene really dose make you laugh with the facial expression there is a few times ive even laugh hard with this film, it just hits the funny bone in the right place.
The voice's for his film are perfectly done nothing is out of sink like most other animation film, which is good because it sell the film better but the casting for this film which the animation facial expressions are brilliant which the act's voice overs for the characters like:
(Alan Cumming) Bog King (voice) trying to be the evil villain but come across as deep down he wants some to love him. (Evan Rachel WoodMarianne (voice) comes across a love fairly with a tough warrior side to her along with the other characters (Elijah Kelley) Sunny (voice),  (Meredith Anne Bull) Dawn (voice), (Sam Palladio) Roland (voice) , (Kristin Chenoweth) Sugar Plum Fairy (voice) , (Alfred Molina) Fairy King (voice) , Maya Rudolph Griselda (voice) , Bob Einstein Stuff (voice) , Peter Stormare Thang (voice), Kevin Michael Richardson Brutus (voice), Llou Johnson Pare (voice),  Robbie Daymond Fairy Cronies (voice), Brenda Chapman Imp (voice),  Tony Cox Plum Elf (voice) all bring what is a great family film, with great music numbers & some of the best facial expression animated characters you will laugh at as it has the elements of ice age has it has its own squirrel creature which i think was a mouse but it was so funny watch it being a mischievous creature.
You couldn't find a better animated film this year to find that strange magic combined with great adult humor & great up to date version of the chart music & music we all love, this is a magical film for all the family to watch.

Dislikes : not a dislike just more of a statement about this film Unless your a fan of musical animation this will not appeal to those that arnt just depends on your taste as this film dose have a few musical numbers.

Overall : Perfect animation, brilliant voice overs, brilliant lovable character & great intelligent sense of humor.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for story / animation

Film Review: Run All Night

Genre:  Action, Crime, Drama

Cert: 15 cert

Director: Jaume Collet-Serra

Screen writer: Brad Ingelsby

Starring: Liam NeesonEd Harris,  Joel Kinnaman , Boyd Holbrook , Bruce McGill , Genesis Rodriguez , Vincent D'Onofrio , Lois Smith , Common , Beau Knapp , Patricia Kalember , Daniel Stewart Sherman , James Martinez , Radivoje Bukvic , Tony Naumovski

Running time: 114 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Some brief, infrequent (mostly implied) references to masturbation and male genitals including sexual innuendos.

Violence & Gore: action movie hand to hand and gun combat.

-Strong, frequent hand to hand combat

-Strong, non-graphic hand violence

-Brief portrayals of torture

-Brief explicit violence

- One man stabs another man multiple times in the back. This is extremely bloody and disturbing.

- One man is shot in the neck and dies choking on his own blood. This scene is graphic and disturbing.

- One man holds another man's face against a burning surface. The man's face comes away severely burned and bloody.

- Multiple scenes with gun violence and blood.

- There is a scene where characters are exchanging gunfire and a woman and her children are nearby. This could be frightening for children.

- Multiple scenes with characters shot at close range.

Profanity:  Close to 25-27 uses of f--k, same as Liam's last R rated movie, A Walk Along the Tombstones. However because of the fast pace in this, some are easily not heard.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A brief scene in which 2 characters are doing lines of cocaine.

Multiple scenes with characters drinking and smoking.

One of the main characters is trying to convince another character to help traffic drugs into the city.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The overall tone of the movie is intense. A father and son are running for their lives, being chased by multiple people throughout the movie. There are a few scenes where children are involved, either observing violence or trying to escape it. These scenes are frightening.

Story: Professional Brooklyn hitman Jimmy Conlon is more commonly known as THE GRAVEDIGGER. Jimmy was a mob hit-man, who was best friends with his boss Sean Maguire. But when Jimmy's son, Michael, is marked for death by the mob, Jimmy must go up against Sean to protect Michael at all costs. Together, he and Michael must avoid corrupt cops, contract killers and the mob to survive the night.

Likes : This is one of those film that has the concept of the sins-of-the-fathers where it take on the revenge thrillers not quite like Taken which i really don't think Nelson can escape from that stigma of his other film's.
Although this story-line has a different type of concept where his son Mike Conlon played Joel Kinnaman get in the middle of a crime family during work where Danny Maguire (Boyd Holbrook) son of the crime boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris) shoot a drug dealer.
This is where all hell breaks loose when Danny trys to kill Mike for what his seen but get gun down by mikes estranged father Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson) which set events to spiral out of control as the streets become a war zone as the try to escape not only the mob but the corrupted police as well .
The stunts in this film are well choreographed & the car chases are brilliant shot on camera with hardly any shaky camera work to see what is happen, for Joel Kinnaman this is not a bad film from robocop this guy is pretty talented actor when it comes to thriller films.
The scene of Ed Harris and Liam Neeson in a restaurant across from each other, face to face, is like the scene of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's iconic scene in Michael Mann's "Heat," the difference is Ed and Liam's characters share a background in this film they were once friends until this incident , you get to see Ed and Liam both stating their cases, exchanging threats, it's a display of caliber performances, anytime you get two heavyweight actors like this in a room together, you'd want them to throw lines at each other that would set the tone for the rest of the movie, that there's going to be bloodbath from that point forward.
The storyline is easy to follow unlike some movies who have (3) sub-plots, 18 different people to keep track of and a dialog spoken where you can only understand every 3rd word. A long movie but because of the content time goes too quickly so this is a very fast paced film unlike taken or non-stop which is good because it keep the film following.
This is better than among the tombstone film Liam did last as that was painfully slow but this wasn't a bad thriller film to watch.

Dislikes : Action wise it was lack a little but overall story was great, but you can help but compare these films to taken because liam is being stereo type for these role.

Overall : Great action scene, good stunt choreography, great acting , good revenge film.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.9 out of 10 for concept.

Sex & Nudity: couple kissing

Violence & Gore: This film's content has a very extreme violent & disturbing nature & bloody scene throughout the movie that is R-rated.

Profanity: very strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: none

Frightening/Intense Scenes: alot of this film is very intense & mind bending some viewer my find disturbing - recommended age 18

Story: An elite 'search and rescue' team transport onto an off-world mining-facility to rescue Whit Carmichael, the lone survivor of a biological outbreak.

Likes : WOW this film is a total mind trip,  i will hand it to the director of this film, he know how to true make a film that mess's with your head in story that not only makes you think what the hell is going on but take in to the world of space madness with a psychological feel like pandorum just in a different way.
It hard to explain this film because its got some many element working together with this psychological feel of madness, despair but also this mysterious element of a unknown life form that drive people to the brink of the violent nature in humans resulting in madness & the violent urge to kill, this is what this film is basic put across.
The story of the film is pretty complex involving a team that have to travel by slipstream to rescue any survivors, but what they walk into is more dangerous than they realise. The interesting thing here is that the threat dosent come from some mutant creatures that has deformed the the workers on the station , comes mainly come from humans, who are driven into madness as they are infected by something that makes them act under the impulse of human primeval instinct, seeking to kill, to be the sole survivor, as plagued by a wild struggle.
The director Shane Abbess explores the evil that strikes the protagonists of the film, taken by schizophrenia which is mental disorder often characterized by abnormal social behavior & failure to recognize what is real. Common symptoms include false beliefs, unclear or confused thinking, auditory hallucinations, reduced social engagements & emotional expression & lack of motivation.  This is an interest take on the concept of this film using the Evil in people that can arise from the heart of each person and it is through a series of rapid and delirious montage, accompanied by discontinued voice, dialogues and pictures, we see the characters sink in to madness, even our brave Carmichael must fight against his murderous impulses has it tries to take hold of the characters human primeval nature.
Although the ending of this film is a bit of mind trip that completely throw you back think W.T.H how is this possible but it cleverly works because of the film concept with a lifeforms you come to understand that this life form wants something, the film dose go in to details to what it is, which is good for the film because other wise there would be a massive plot hole in the film.
It a film that's a across between Event horizon, doom & pandorum with extreme intense moment & violent blood nature that's frightening & intense but give this film it's entertainment value with an interesting story, although dose miss a few opportunity to be better although its still a great film to watch.

Dislikes : i through this film could of had a different direction from the way this film was heading, i think its missed a great opportunity to change the story from human threat to a creature threat considering the alien involvement in this film but still its a great film.
i feel for some people that watch this the ending will just throw this film concept right off just by the way it ending, it kind of throw you in to a head trip of what the hell is going on, i don't think alot of people will understand this ending so it might not come off well.

Overall : Dark, disturbing, very bloody & violent, concept that drive in to the world of madness.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7 out of 10 for story concept.

Running time: 95 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: A teenage boy and girl make out.

Violence & Gore: Someone cuts off their own finger. It's barely off-screen.

Arnie axes a zombie in the head (off-screen).

Seen transformation as the virus takes effect of curtain characters.

Profanity: Nothing major.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: None.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The zombie makeup and gory images may be disturbing to some.

Story: A teenage girl in the Midwest becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side.

Likes : First of all if you go into this film think that this is going to be the typical zombie film with bullet flying & Arnold kick a** & kicking some zombie butts in a all action film, you will be disappointed as this zombie film take on a more human approach to the zombie genre  with a character driven story that's not only emotional but very disturbing in places.
The story revolves around Wade (Arnold) daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) who is bitten during a zombie out break is slowly being transforms from human to zombie as the virus takes over, Arnold performance as a loving father is brilliant in the way he plays this role show a believable character as a father who is on the verge of losing his daughter.
The emotion he show in his acting here is outstanding for the scene,  where this film dose get emotional concept of loss a daughter which is one of the most painful thing any parent can go through as the parents arnt meant to bury their child it really dose bring you to tear as you feel the emotion of the scene.
Abigail Breslin as Maggie is just brilliant her acting portraying a dying teenage trying to keep strong while knowing she will turn is just amazing acting, the way they did her transformation is brilliant from scene to scene as she become less human & more zombie as the virus take holds. This transformation is brilliant shown in this film which give this zombie genre a different take, giving it a more human feel than just change straight away this is just added by the performance of Abigail who brilliant performed this role.
The film as a whole can be a little draggy at time as the pace is a little slow but for a character driven story this is to be expected as it gives a more in-depth look at the characters emotions & what they are going through to sell the story to the audience. All though this film dose look as if it just a drama film there are a few intense moment's that make's this a horror film although this film dosent have the feel of walking dead or world war z there are a few moments of seeing zombies.
The filming of the films style is very bleak & dark some what depressing mood of despair as you do see alot of people suffering & dying from the virus as well as the scene with Maggie & wade its a very bleak dark mood film than a up lifting film so beware of that if you watch this.
All in all for what this film is its a very good film to watch but you need to just relax & enjoy the film let the story soak in to really enjoy it, but if your looking for a action style film this will not be a film you will enjoy as ive said before it a character driven story & not a action film.

Dislikes : This film is good, although though my only compete here really is there could of been more in the story even those the film revolves around the character Maggie, there is no explanation to where the virus came from which is the plot hole really in the film but apart from that the rest of the film is actual good if you like character driven story telling.

Overall : A very dark bleak story, great acting, character driven story that gives a more human side to the zombie genre.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.8 out of 10 for story concept.

But a chance encounter with charismatic philanthropist Ellis Jones reignites her passion for life and romance. When a weekend with his parents threatens to uncover the truth, Adaline makes a decision that will change her life forever.

Likes : I'm not normal a fan of drama films as they cant be a little to slow boring, but this film just absolutely blow me away on just how beautiful & clever the story has been written, but just how amazing the acting is in this film.
I love the narrative in this film explaining curtain part of the film it add to the magical feel this film had that really bring your heart to melt in some part as it bring you to tears through heart break & emotional moments with outstanding performances.
This film beg the question of curiosity of how you would be if you were to remain 29 years of age for the rest of your life? some people would probable jump at the chance without realise the consequences of being immortal , while others would consider how would you feel that you couldn't really get attached to any one in the life you would lead this film show this perfectly.
For the character in the film this was the life of Adeline Bowman played by the incredibly amazing talented & incredibly beautiful actress (Blake Lively). Through a series of fantastic phenomena, she has remained as a 29 year old for eight decades which really show just how incredibly hard it is to live a live like that that is what make this a beautiful made film.
She has to experience a life of solitude and separation, because she cannot age with those that she is closest to in her life. Her life is veiled in secrecy, until she meets Ellis Jones played by (Michiel Huisman), a philanthropist who ignites her passion for life and unknowingly he is a link to her past. What seems to be an innocent weekend away, becomes a crossroads for the truth and a chance for her to decide what she will do with the rest of her life. Harrison Ford good to see him in a role again delivering a believable performance as the father of Ellis.
If there is one story that really touches your heart this is it, such a beautiful told love story even those romantic at heart will love. You couldn't faultier this film one bit, truly an-outstanding love story that will test the boundary of time.

Dislikes : Nothing wrong with this film.

Overall : True amazing, beautiful made, outstanding performance, Blake Lively is incredible in this film a must to watch

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9.6 out of 10 for story concept.

Story: From the director of Friday the 13th and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious comes new Horror. During an all-night, drug-fueled party at an abandoned asylum known for the horrific treatment of its patients, a group of ordinary teens decide to experiment with the occult, mysteriously leading to a violent possession. In an effort to find help, the group rushes to escape, only to find themselves locked inside with no means of communication. Tempers flare, trusts are broken and in attempt to save one of their friends possessed by the demon, the amateurs try to perform an exorcism. Instead of solving the problem, and unbeknownst to them, they unleash an even more powerful and vengeful spirit, one with a distinct motive and which wants them all dead. The teen's only chance of survival is to uncover the asylum's deep mysteries and find a way out before it's too late. Their search for answers uncovers the asylum's dark past and the terrible secrets that are harbored within its walls. What started as a harmless paranormal experiment turns into a fast paced bloody paranormal nightmare with unexpected consequences.

Likes : This is such an underrated horror film at best , as ive seen so many worst horror then this yet they get full praise for being good when they are just terrible, ya the whole scary building thing is done to death but audience cant seem to get enough of these types of film so this does have something going for it.
The cast is spot on in this film coming from the Director of Friday the 13th & Texas chainsaw massacre & the producer of Paranormal Activity & insidious im happy to say they've actual did this film right with the story & the flow of the film.
Although the set up was slightly a little weak the back ground story of the asylum on what went on before the place was shut down helps the story base line alot which is away a good  thing for a horror. The building alone set the tone for atmospheric dark ominous feel of the place where a haunting could start, were introduced to a group of teenage that thinks it would be fun to contact the old spirits of the place only to find what they were looking for wasn't what they bargained for, this is where this film taken on this concept of unborn , exorcist, house on haunted hill & grave-encounters all in one film which really work for its bloody violent & gore scene as the teenage fight to stay alive.
whats actual clever with this film is the twist that if you clever enough you might be able to spot but it dose hide it very well dosent give away to much through out the film which i like because it keep you thinking & guess, most of all keep you on your toes wondering what going to happen next which also has that evil dead concept to as well which is enjoyable in these types of film's.
Brittany Curan performance playing Reign really shines in this film with a great acting skill to play a very believe role, she shows great potential as well as being a dead ringer for Amy Lee from evanescence in this film, so if they were to do a film of her life Brittany would most differently be the best choice there.
Kelly Blatz pull off the protagonist pretty well in this film show great performance as the person trying to keep everyone live, really impressed with that normal sometime you get a young act that dose quite fit the role but he done a brilliant job here.
Gage Golightly perfect performance as well play curtain part in this film, i cant really say much about role she was playing without give away spoiler but her performance is brilliant.
Nick Nicotera playing the tech nerd in the film brilliant as well, alot of on-lines from this guy are funny his performance later on in this film is just great acting again cant go in to detail spoilers.
I will say through out this whole film it manage to hold its creepy tone special some of the music & this creep child's voice really add to the tone of a well made film that deserves more than 5 stars out of 10.
If you look for a film that is like evil dead, unborn, house on haunted hill & grave encounters this is a film i recommend watch as you wont be dispointed in watch it great film, great sound track, creepy music & creepy back ground voices that make this a great film to watch with a end of credit scene.

Dislikes : Just the start of the film was slight weak but that all that was wrong with this film really.

Overall : Great story, perfect casting, great performances , Brittany Curan is one to watch in the future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.9 out of 10 for story concept.

Film Review: It Follows

Genre: Horror, Mystery

Cert: 15 cert  due the graphic nature of this film it should be an 18 cert

Director: David Robert Mitchell

Screen writer: David Robert Mitchell

Starring: Keir Gilchrist , Carollette Phillips , Loren Bass , Olivia Luccardi , Lili Sepe , Maika Monroe , Jake Weary , Daniel Zovatto , Charles Gertner ,  Bailey Spry , Debbie Williams , Ruby Harris , Linda Boston , Leisa Pulido , D.J. Oliver

Running time: 100 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Some sexual references throughout.

Multiple young adults have sex (no nudity is shown) to pass along a 'curse'. Not very brief.

Multiple scenes show the main character in her bra and underwear.

"It" takes the form of nude adult males and females. See below spoilers for more detail.

In one scene, "it" is nude in the form of a woman. Full frontal nudity is shown, however, her crotch is shaded pretty heavily

In another scene, "it" takes the form of a female with her left breast exposed. She is also urinating while walking toward Jay.

It" also takes the form of a nude older male standing on the roof of a house. Again, full frontal nudity is shown while his crotch is heavily shaded

It" takes the form of "Greg's" mother in order to kill Greg. She is shown in her night robe with her left breast exposed. She then appears to kill Greg by having sex with him, she is shown grinding her crotch on his while he lays lifeless on the floor

Violence & Gore: A woman is seen dead with her leg twisted and a bone sticking out of it.
A young man is killed, though the death is primarily off screen,
"
It" is shot several times. We see blood spray across the wall

Profanity: Infrequent profanity is present throughout, some of which alludes to sexual situations

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A character smokes cigarettes.

Some of the characters drink beer.

Underage kids drink liquor out of a flask and also mix it in their soda cans

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The film is very atmospheric, relying heavily on tone to set the mood. It is very intense and often surreal. Several frightening and intense scenes are present in the film.
Multiple scenes show "it" stalking people in various locations.
Due to the intensity of the film, mature themes, and graphic nudity, "It Follows" is recommended for ages 17 and older.

Story: For nineteen-year-old Jay, Autumn should be about school, boys and week-ends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

Likes : i will give this film its fair due, there is moments when this film dosent get a little creepy & slightly disturbing, could i say this was a good psychological horror film sadly no, as there is alot of plot hole in the story.
The only thing really i could say positive about this film is some of the acting although a little wooden at time ins't to bad although the lack of back ground ruins the follow, it dose keep the creepy music playing try to keep this film frightening which again no maybe to some people this maybe frighten but this i just can't be positive about.

Dislikes : The story had so much potential to be seriously frightening this is where David Robert Mitchell seriously fails to grasp what a horror film involving something supernatural can be seriously frightening.
Even John Carpenter could do a better job with this film, ya it had its moment at the begin but this is just where this film fails after, its start of great giving you a chilling mood atmospheric follow by a pretty gruesome scene that could of set a great horror film up but no.
The fact there is no understand of what is follow her or what the hell it is other then if you have sex it gets passed on - complete fail right here, when you have some supernatural it need to have a base story of what it is & where it came from all we get is a is that some girl on a one night stand past it to some boy, no other explanation of where that other girl got it or how to destroy it.
This is poor screen writing for a horror. The fact this film add no resolution to the ending to end the film just leaves it open was just the icing on the cake for a seriously poor horror film that wasn't scary or slightly entertaining which is a shame because this could have been so much better.

Overall : has it moments, not really frightening, poor story writing that could have been better.

Rating: 3.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 4.5 out of 10 for concept.
