Film Review: Pompeii

Genre: Action | Adventure | Drama

Cert: PG-13 , but his this should of been a 18 cert due to the nature of the film.

Starring: Kit Harington , Carrie-Anne Moss , Emily Browning , Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje , Jessica Lucas , Jared Harris , Joe Pingue , Kiefer Sutherland , Currie Graham , Dylan Schombing.

Running time: 105 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: A slave is "inspected" by a woman who feels his behind and says that it is firm.

Several scenes of gladiatorial fights resulting in dozens of slaves and soldiers being killed. Though hardly any blood is seen, the killings are quite violent. Stabbings, slitting of throats and hacking off of arms is shown.
A man is stabbed to death in a cold blooded murder.
A riot ensues as the citizens of Pompeii flee from the volcano. A senator trapped within the crowd orders his guards to kill them all, which they proceed to do.
A man is stabbed by another in a swordfight. But the stabbed man snaps the sword into two and stabs the other in the neck with the broken sword.

Profanity:  1 bitch 1 bloody 1 bastard 2 damm

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Some scenes of people drinking wine

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The eruption of Mount Vesuvius may be too frightening for children
The fight scenes may be too intense for younger viewers
Do not rely on the PG13 rating of this movie. It is almost on par with an R rated movie in terms of violence and body count. While nothing graphic is shown, the violence is still quite unsettling.
The final half an hour of this movie is filled with apocalyptic scenes, with flaming rocks raining from the volcano and destroying buildings, tidal waves from the sea mowing down everything in their path and widespread death and destruction. Young viewers may find it disturbing.

Story: Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

Likes : There are film that really haunted me this is one of them, knowing that this really happen in history must of been so frightening to those poor people that are still in-cased in ash today in the ruin city of Pompeii still with the last look on there face starring death in the face God rest their soul's.
I find this film brilliant done as it set the tone of the film with these haunting word's along with haunting music "In the darkness you could hear the crying of woman, the wailing of infants & the shouting of men,Some prayed for help, others wished for death, still more imagined that there were no gods left & that the universe was plunged into eternal darkness. Pliny the younger 79 A.D.
I believe these words gives the haunting eye witness as they saw the city of Pompeii in gulf-ed in fire & ash, which was is apart of the darkest history."Pompeii" tells the story of the legendary natural disaster that covered the Italian city of Pompeii and its residents in ashes, preserving their bodies for eternity. Like "Titanic," "Pompeii" mixes in a star-crossed lovers story into the disaster genre. Following the rich- girl-loves-poor-boy trope, a wealthy woman named Cassia (played by Emily Browning of "Sucker Punch") falls in love with an enslaved gladiator named Milo (played by Kit Harrington of "Game of Thrones").
Keith Sutherland acting in this film is good although i found his voice a bit weird but kid of suited the character but dam his character is an evil bastard.
Atticus (played by Adewale AkinnuoyeAgbaje of "Thor: The Dark World") is surprisingly well developed throughout the film. In the first act, Milo learns that he must face Atticus, a man who has been promised freedom after one more battle. Several scenes of dialogue in a prison cell and action in the arena they are forced to fight in give the audience a good feel for who these characters are and give a good enough reason to root for them. Considering that this is a disaster movie made by Paul W.S. Anderson, both characters have a substantial amount of substance to them, and the actors give good enough performances to make their friendship believable.
Though most of this fim it's surprisingly entertaining it does feel slow & it plays at a steady pace with a bit action & scene where you get to know the character,  i think Emily brown is coming of age to be a brilliant actress as she plays the cute love interest milo, also doing a fantastic performance also a little short screen time Jared Harris & Carrie Anne-Moss who play Pompeii major i believe who built Pompeii, Milo played by Kit Harrington does a brilliant job of making his character believe this is, playing  gladiator on a revenge path of his mother& his people, a big step up from the small screen of tv to the big screen we can see more of him in the future. The most frightening thing about this film is when the volcano blow's, because after that its complete chaos, the visual effect & C.G.I is amazing as you see the volcano throwing everything it has at the city, but you cant help to have tears in your eye's seeing all these people suffering.
I would hazard to say this is very close to history on what happen apart from the love story but this is no ordinary love story its more of a tragic but beautiful eternal love story with the way this film ended but its very though provoking when you think about Pompeii all those soul's lost in-cased forever. This is a film i highly recommend as this isn't a mediocre film in fact this is a film that will leave you thinking way after the credits role.

Dislikes : Keith Sutherland voice seem a little forced to me but apart from that if you can see past that this film is good.

Overall : Destruction, chaos, romance, brilliant special effects great story telling worth watching

Rating: 4.9 out of 5 for entertainment / 8 out of 10 for story-line/ concept

Film Review: Transcendence

Genre: Drama | Mystery | Sci-Fi

Cert: 12A cert, i think this should of been a 15 cert.

Director: Wally Pfister

Writer: Jack Paglen

Starring: Johnny Depp,  Rebecca HallPaul Bettany, Cillian Murphy , Kate Mara , Cole Hauser , Morgan Freeman , Clifton Collins Jr. , Cory Hardrict , Falk Hentschel , Josh Stewart , Luce Rains , Fernando Chien , Steven Liu, Xander Berkeley

Running time: 119 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: kisses
a flashback where a couple is ontop of each naked kissing (covered by blankets, only their mouth and neck are seen.)

Violence & Gore: this film should've been rated R because of it's violence.
though not frequent, but there are long scenes of strong bloody wounds, some cause by bullets, other results from kicking, lots and lots of blood

Profanity: some uses of "shit" and mild profanity.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: some scenes adults drink wines, some smoke.
There's also a few scenes where character takes needles.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The plot of the film is disturbing and realistic, most of it grounded in real theories popular today about uploading a human consciousness with technology
Will Caster's "transformation" is a bit disturbing, as his body slowly deteriorates before his consciousness is uploaded

Story: Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him. However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed-to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can...but if they should. Their worst fears are realized as Will's thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.

Likes : As scientists are on the verge of a new breakthrough in A.I. technology, a rouge terrorist group known as RIFT begins knocking off labs around the country. One of their antics is the assassination, by radioactive poisoning, of scientist Dr. Will Caster. As his body slowly deteriorates, his wife and his partner work frantically work on a way to upload his mind to a computer, thus allowing him to continue his research. And as anyone could've guessed, the plan goes completely to hell.
Transcendence is pretty good. Pfister's direction is expedient, and he avoids the jumpy camera syndrome that typically plagues these kinds of movies, it got that hauntingly, thought provoking concept, the story-line is pretty simple its not fast to a point you have no clue on whats going on, the pace does allow you to see the story developed, the whole concept is like ghost in the machine, terminator as in the A.i being self-ware but more crossed with fantasy then sc-fi with some scene's which is impossible will never happen but this is what Sc-fi & fantasy are about pushing the imagination to the limits.
Casting for this film was brilliant because the acting was spot on to feel the emotion & fear, from the character's Although this should of been more than a 12a  just on the violence alone, its hauntingly made.
The cinematography is stunning with the Special effect when you see everything being reanimated or repaired & Jess Hall hits it home and makes Transcendence look properly futuristic while still squeezing in some contrasting elements of nature in almost every frame, with Johnny depp haunting performance as a computer A.I was just amazing the way he pulled this character off was so believable it was unreal, but this is why johnny Depp is one of the best actor's in the business for method acting.
One thing this film does is show the emotion's, do we fear technology being to advance than us & Do we have a soul and if so, does that mean that when our bodies die we can still live on through other means?these are the question this film throws at you when you watching this film & think about A.I.
This isn't a perfect film but its still a great film to watch with brilliant acting, Depends on what kind of movie you're looking for. If you want mindless entertainment, this is not the film for you as there isn't much action. If you're the type of person who likes to think about a movie long after the credits roll, definitely see this one your enjoy it.

Dislikes : The only think this film that slightly lets it down it the pace of the story, ya its slow enough for you to understand the story & whats going on but, the pace i thought was way to slow
to really keep you gripped to the screen, you fine your self wanting it to hurry up & end but apart from that the story & acting is pretty good.

Overall : Though provoking, hauntingly filmed & great acting from all cast, worth watch.

Rating: 4.6 out of 5 for entertainment / 7 out of 10 for story-line/ concept.

Likes : I've never read the books on this film, but from a few review's This film has made so many mistake from the book by changing things curtain thing's which i can argue with because ive never read the book's probable why this film failed.
As a stand alone film it was OK the acting was pretty solid although it felt to much like mean girl's with vampires & the whole concept felt like a harry potter film.Don't let it skew your perception of its quality. It's not horror film it more of a comedy teenage vampire film to be honest, though the main character's either live in fear of another race of vampires or they live to kill. This film does how ever have a lots of great action, blood, and killing going on t kept you entertain. It's not a fluffy, dull, sparkling romance like the twilight film's, its kind of what nightmares are made of.
According to readers the first book doesn't feature them as much as the movie does, which makes the movie all the better although some fans are disappointed that they have changed things because Fans of the books know how intense things get with this evil race of vampires, and happily, the Vampire Academy movie its self does add a bit more for entertainment.
This is not a film every one will enjoy, its does have a few flaws & missing that edge but still an entertaining film to watch but not the greatest film.

Dislikes : The few things this film failed on was a few characters & story-line accord to a few readers of the book this is why this film has failed to make the money its need, To be honest this film felt a rip off of harry potter & felt to much like mean girls with a vampire concept.
The other thing that lets this film down is the fact its not very well explain on why the one of the main characters has a spirit power i think that could of been more explained i this film really, but despite the flaws this film is still entertaining.

Overall : Not a bad film, comedy is ok, the acting is pretty solid, if you a fan its worth watching but be warn its not like the book.

Rating: 3 out of 5 for Entertainment /  5.3 out of 10 for story-line/ concept

Story: Jason has just been dumped, but he didn't even realize they were going out. Meanwhile, Mikey's wife has just asked him for a divorce, and perpetually single Daniel is still single. The three best friends are determined to stay single together and just have fun. But then Jason meets Ellie who just might be perfect for him, Daniel starts to realize that his gal pal Chelsea might be perfect for him, and Mikey has always thought that his wife was perfect for him. The boys are going to have to juggle their single life with their romantic entanglements and it's going to get awkward.

Likes : Sex comedy flick from first time director/writer Tom Gormican. It stars Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan as three young men trying to have casual relationships with women (involving primarily just sex) while not actually dating.
Efron plays Jason, Teller plays Daniel and Jordan plays Mikey. The three are best friends and Jason and Daniel (who work together at a publishing company designing book covers) are trying to help Jordan (a young doctor) get through a difficult divorce. They celebrate being single (by going out to the bars and hooking up) and make a pact to stay that way. Each is tempted to renege on their agreement with one another when their sexual relationships become more serious.
This film a lot of 80s nostalgic feel to it with the youth sex comedies back in the 80s, this is a great film to watch, the funny moment are in balance with serious moment's, some scene you just can help but laugh at. here is a few moments in this film where the theme of the film awkward moments come in to play its brilliantly done.
It show's just how perfectly how most men think & do in the younger years, acting like players getting laid & bed woman, to those that arnt look for a relationship & just sex it would be awkward when a girl wants a relationship your just looking for sex this is where all players are dicks when it comes to being honest & only think abut their dick's, this film perfect shows that, as well as the moment when your going through hard time.
This is more of a chick flick than a guy film really, due to the contain of scene Zac efron &  Michael B. Jordan being the eye candy for the girls.
The beautiful Imogen Poots (star of fright night) brings a brilliant performance has the love interest with a emotional & heart-warming acting to the character of Ellie, Zac efron performance is brilliant as well, but this is a well recommend film to watch has it does have the moment's that you cant help by laugh at but moments you with sit back & think where are you going with your life.
Michael B. Jordan is fresh from his acclaimed performance last year as an ill-fated ex-con in "Fruitvale Station". His character is the most stable of the three friends, and his character does not really get too idiotic situations. He finds himself in more dramatic than comic moments here, which makes his character feel like an odd man out.
Miles Teller plays the raunchy, noisy, annoying friend here. He is the funniest and the most relaxed of the three main actors. He remains very likable despite his smart-alecky character, coming across as a young Andrew McCarthy. His chemistry with his partner Mackenzie Davis was the best of the three pairs in the film. The romantic aspect fared better. It was actually quite well-written, though treading on very familiar ground of male-female relationships and commitment phobia which is perfectly show in this film.

Dislikes : If you don't like heart-warm, romantic comedy's then you wont like this film as it not all about comedy moments.

Overall :The romantic aspect fared better than most of the reviews, this is a great film to watch, funny moments, good acting.

Rating: 4.2 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.7 out of 10 for story/ funny moments.

When Chen proposes to Skye, tensions arise from his parents and the woman they wanted him to wed, Mei Ling. But the traditional Chinese culture clash is nothing compared to the conflict of two worlds: the living and the dead.

Likes : Sorry but who ever gave this a rating of 9 out of 10 seriously must be on meds or something because this is no way a 9 out of 10 film. As of Japaneses culture this film isn't to bad as it does capture the traditional wedding theme but this as a horror film fail's massively.
Some of the acting is OK but i cant say this was a good film so many flaws it was unreal, some people might find this a good film but this was such a flawed film.

Dislikes : Some of the acting was wooden, there was absolutely no scary or intense horror in this film what so ever, the ghost of the woman was in no way scary looking making the film look like a amateur with extreme low budget has made this film.
This is what make this the worst film ive seen, im a big horror fan & fair play to the director effort in making this but sorry this film is a massive let down in horror, this is a very student type film film for a class room audience & not a big wide audience. This couple with the pace of the film lets it down. This is one film to avoid.

Overall : Flaw horror film that could of been better, some acting was OK other were wooden. Don't expect a scary or intense horror.

Rating: 2 out of 5 for entertainment / 2 out of 10 for horror/intense scene

Film Review: A.C.O.D (Adult Children of Divorce)

Genre: Moody black Comedy Warning film does contain a sex scene

Cert: 18 (R-rated)

Director: Stu Zicherman (as Stuart Zicherman)

Writers: Ben Karlin, Stu Zicherman

Starring: Adam Scott, Richard Jenkins, Catherine O'Hara, Amy Poehler, Mary Elizabeth Winstead,Clark Duke,Ken Howard, Valerie Tian, Sarah Burns, Jessica Alba, Jane Lynch, Jamie Renell, Valerie Payton, Gavin Plunkett, Isabella Zentkovich.

Running time:
88 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Sex scene is seen, passion scene in the kitchen

Violence & Gore: Just a fire breaks out

Profanity: About 30+ F-words, 1 use of the C-word, and many other profanities.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Drink is seen in a bar, girl smoking on a wall

Frightening/Intense Scenes: none

Story:  A.C.O.D. follows a seemingly well-adjusted Adult Child of Divorce (Adam Scott) who is forced to revisit the chaos of his parents' (Catherine O'Hara and Richard Jenkins) bitter divorce all over again after his younger brother (Clark Duke) decides to get married.

Likes : This film is your typical dysfunctional family, divorce, and a disrupted family nucleus type of film that Children of divorce will probable come to understand & see parts in this film in there own life's.Some of this film is pretty funny but its more of a mellow drama then a comedy film revolving around the main character played by Adam Scott who felt like a younger Kevin Spacey & really does pull his role off perfect.
There is a lot of wit and sarcasm instead of Hollywood cheap laughs, that most comedy film give to the audience.
The characters are engaging and the acting is very great. If your an adult child of divorce or a divorced parent who worries about your children, you're likely to recognize something in this film. (When Carter goes through his parents' divorce papers, try to catch some of the petty, ridiculous allegations each makes.) In this film, you see revealed some painful truths about human nature and complex family relationships--always with humor and compassion.
That being said, I think that it balances the two genres very well. The humor, more subtle and realistic, adds that right amount of lightheartedness to the relatable subject matter. Casting for this film is pretty good as well, it's not the greatest comedy but its is what it is for the budget it was filmed on, it wont be everyone's cup of tea but it not bad if you like the slow drama comedy film.

Dislikes : Slightly a bit to slow its hard to follow at time's, i think the pace could of been little faster but still watchable.

Overall : Very moody type comedy with the concept of divorce, slightly funny but not over the top.

Rating: 4.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.1 out of 10 for story-line/ acting

Film Review: Wolf Creek 2

Genre: Horror | Thriller warning contents scene of extreme torture, rape & bloody body's

Cert: 18 cert (R-rated)

Director: Greg Mclean,

WritersGreg Mclean, Aaron Sterns

Starring: John Jarratt, Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn, Philippe Klaus, Gerard Kennedy, Annie Byron ,Shane Connor , Ben Gerrard , Chloé Boreham

Running time: 106 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: One scene with foreign hitch-hikers hints at sexual activities. There are a few scenes with kissing and affection.
Mick Taylor refers to using female captives for a "few fun months". Rape is heavily implied throughout the duration of this movie

Violence & Gore: The film contains several scenes of strong sadistic violence and torture.
Mick uses his sniper and shoots 4+ characters in the head. It is quite graphic and full on.
Mick Taylor violently butchers a hitch-hiker. He severs his spinal cord and then proceeds to behead him in front of his girlfriend, He is later seen dissecting the body as if it was cattle or sheep and placing the body in the back of his car.
In one scene Taylor is seen cutting two of Paul's fingers off with an electric saw while his hand is broken and clamped.
A chandelier of human bodies was made. You can see 5 skeletons tied together with lights around it for decoration.
There are hundreds of mutilated, decomposing females corpses in Mick Taylor's underground pathways. You can see each female as Paul walks past them in graphic and gruesome details. One female presumed dead starts screaming and grabs out for Paul, she is extremely bloody and he runs away. Later on, he find a way out, past a series of booby traps, one of which is a hole in the ground with sharp bamboo spikes coming out from the ground. Paul plans on hitting Mick with the hammer and into the hole, killing him, except who he thought was Mick was actually the girl who had started screaming earlier on. You see her dead body face down on the spikes for a few moments.

Profanity: Terms such as bitch, fuck, cunt, and pussy are repeated frequently. Australian slang and play on profanities are used.
Racist terms are used toward the English

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Some young adults are seen drinking vodka and wine while having a cigarette at a party.
There is a scene where Mick Taylor offers an alcoholic drink, assuming whisky, to his hostage. They drink and his hostage plays along with his 'game'

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  As this whole movie is intense and may be considered frightening, there is a few scenes towards the end that is extremely intense.
Paul escapes from Micks torture dungeon and runs through underground tunnels for a good 10 minutes. Through those tunnels, there are dead, mutilated corpses from females lining the walls. Most are chained up or hung from ceilings and are starting to decompose. As Paul is investigating one female body, she suddenly jumps up and starts screaming for help. She is quite mutilated and bloody and her eyes have glazed over with a white film. This is sudden and is possible the biggest jump scare of the entire movie.

Story: The outback once more becomes a place of horror as another unwitting tourist becomes the prey for crazed, serial-killing pig-hunter Mick Taylor.

Likes : As much as i love a good horror film, the first wolf creek was ok it had all the elements of a horror slasher , John Jarratt returns as serial killer Mick Taylor. He delivers another strong performance. His laugh and hoarse, Aussie voice never falter. He gets totally into character and runs the show. He has too much screen time, however, to make him as scary as he should be. The viewer is given too much knowledge of his whereabouts, I felt that kid of took away the surprise of where is he.
The first set of victims The film doesn't provide much insight into their character's which might be the reason why your find yourself not feel that they get killed by this guy,  Ryan Corr, playing well-educated British traveler, Paul it just the same but you kind of find your self rooting for him in the end.
The sense of isolation is there but doesn't have the same effect as it did in the first film, probably because there are a few more characters in this film, and other devices used to create action, which made the film appear less chilling and more thrilling in a way.
Essentially we have two movies here, cut at the half way point. The first is an interesting hodge-podge which riffs not only off Wolf 1 but also pays "homage" to Spielberg's DUEL. And to a lesser extent, Texas CHAINSAW. with the body in the tunnel which was pretty sick & twisted. Horror fans might like this film but for me i kind of found this film becoming one sided & it just felt all bad guys & no hero to the story which i think this film will need if there is a 3rd film being done.

Dislikes : Well the fact to one side twice now this guy has got away with killing people i just think its about time now that he hunts someone more that he can handle, the hero takes him down that what i feel is need because the first film he got way with killing, now again hes got away with killing, the ending was lame.

Overall : Blood, body's, gore, strong language, OK acting but weak story.

Rating: 3.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 4.3 out of 10 for story-line

Film Review: The Hungover Games

Genre: Spoof Comedy

Cert: 18 cert (R-rated)

Director: Josh Stolberg

Screen play/story: Kyle Barnett, Anderson,David Bernstein , Jamie Kennedy.

Starring: Ross Nathan , Sam Pancake, Ben Begley , Herbert Russell ,John Livingston, Damien Bray, Tara Reid, Jamie Kennedy , Chanel Gaines , Carolyn Ratteray, Hank Baskett , Bruce Jenner , Steve Sobel ,Mark Harley , Martin Klebba , Con Schell, Terra Jole , Daniel Buran, Jeff Torres, Brandi Glanville, Kyle Richards ,  Camille Grammer , Terrence Julien , Matt Flanagan , Kayden Kross , Kirsty Hill, Ania Spiering , Fred Kracke , Caitlin Wachs ,Leila Leigh , Rita Volk.

Running time: 85 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: One of the districts is the "Gratuitous Nudity District" and features women topless the entire time they are on screen.
The spoof of "Ted," "Teddy" is a giant teddy bear that has a fake penis attached to it.
The weapons have sex toys attached to them, and the Games are said to be sponsored by a Sex Toy manufacturer.
Katnip's breasts are shown multiple times- once in profile and once zoomed in on the screen.

Violence & Gore: The premise of the movie is to spoof The Hunger Games, in which the plot revolves around killing others in order to survive yourself. Lots of over the top violence and blood.
A spoof of the movie "Carrie" features a girl covered in blood.

Profanity: Frequent use of strong language (f***, s***, etc.) and mild language (damn, hell, etc.)

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Within the first minutes of the movie one of the main characters offers many different kinds of drugs to his friends.
One character is addicted to drugs and alcohol.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The combination of the violence, language, and sexual things on screen may offend some, but almost all of it is played for laughs.

Story: After celebrating Doug's upcoming wedding in a cut rate hotel in Laughlin, NV, hungover guys Bradley, Ed and Zach wake up in a futuristic dystopia, having lost their pal, Doug. With the help of Effing and Justmitch, the trio's loyal advisers, the gang must now prepare to battle their way through the pop culture districts of The Hungover Games including The Real Housewives of District 8 and Teddy from The Puppet District.

Likes : The Hungover Games takes the known and loved characters from the movie's and places them in a world similar to The Hunger Games. In the process, it attempts to criticize Hollywood for a lack of originality. This is perhaps the only funny joke in the movie, seeing as it is itself completely without original thought.
Alot of this film is show with two famous porn stars Kayden Kross who plays Chastity & Kirsty Hill aka Sophie Dee play her self who both spend almost the whole film topless which most guys will love watching in this film just for those scenes. Most of the film trys so hard to take the p*ss out of The Hangover, Avatar, Porn films, Ted, Thor, Lone Ranger, pirate of the Caribbean, django, the hobbit, charlie & the chocolate factory & the new president Obama as being the bad guy throw in to a world like hunger games i cant believe they got Bruce Jenner,  kim kardashian's step dad in this film so funny seeing him do something like this.
Some people may find this funny if you have a simple mind to find this funny but this although entertaining just had no direction what so ever, it felt an excuse just to show naked woman in a film.

Dislikes : Although some acting was OK, the jokes were over the top & stupid, the person who write this story must be high on something to think this was how spoof film are made because this is no Mel Brooks style film which were funny.i think with a better imagination these type of film might be funny one day but this director serious needs work on whats funny & whats not because this wasn't funny although entertaining.

Overall : naked woman feast, over the top stupid jokes, slightly entertaining. may not be for everyone.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 3.7 out of 10 for story/ comedy spoof

Cert: 18 cert (R-rated)

Director: Kader Ayd

 Writers: Kader Ayd, Renee Topper

Starring: Malik Barnhardt, Avelawance Phillips, Tom Sizemore, Gary Dourdan, Steven Bauer,James Russo, Danny Trejo, Christian Audigier, Kenneth Choi, Bokeem Woodbine, Costas Mandylor, Cisco Reyes. Jimmy Jean-Louis, Ryan O'Nan, Danny Arroyo.

Running time:
110 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Brief references to sex

Violence & Gore: Alot of the violence is with gangs & drug lord gun fights & people being shot.

Profanity: alot F-word use & other strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Drug are seen, man smoking, people drinking

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Some scene maybe disturb on a 18 cert level.

Story: In this tension-packed thriller, brothers Mike and Tre set out in search of better lives, trying to leave their demons behind for good. After being released from prison for a crime he didn't commit, Mike's only care in the world is to protect his young daughter from an unforgiving ex. But the justice that awaits him on the streets is far worse than anything Mike had experienced in prison. His older brother Tre begrudgingly agrees to one last "delivery", attempting to free Mike and his new girlfriend from the grips of the criminal underworld. What transpires is a wild misadventure where multiple lives unknowingly intersect, and where decisions are made that will haunt everyone forever.

Likes : This isn't a bad effort for a gangster, it has all the gangster feel to it with the drug lords & gangs, the story line isn't to bad based on the premise of be careful who you make deals with as what goes around comes around concept which was done to badly in this film.
The film starts off with a great tension, when a police man stops by a car where a man is sitting besides a lot of empty bear cans. We understand that there's more to it, because then tension is high, with both the dramatized acting as well as the music. Then with the opening credits we get a stunning birds eye look over the big city, with big sentimental music. Loved the opening. When it starts off like this, it's very promising. But then it's like someone lost it completely.
It like watching different films all in one film, its try way to hard to be like pulp fiction style with the twists in the story as it goes back & forth i think its this that lets this film down to being a brilliant film, it not one a can recommend as being a great film but still watchable the once viewing.

Dislikes : The problem with this was the method in which they used to convey the story. The direction was all over the place as were the performances from the actors, but overall the pacing and the way it was presented was the biggest mess the story is all over the place there is not grounded it lets the film day.

Overall : Not a great film but still OK to watch, if your into gangster type film you might like this but it wont be for every one.

Rating: 3.7 out of 5 for entertainment / 5 out of 10 for story/ concept

Cert: 12A

Director: Marc Webb

Screen play writers: Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci , Jeff Pinkner

Screen story: Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner, James Vanderbilt.

Marvel comic book: Stan Lee , Steve Ditko

Starring: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones,Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Embeth Davidtz, Campbell Scott, Marton Csokas.

Running time: 142 min

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: mild innuendo

Violence & Gore:there will be a lot of stylized fight scenes throughout.
some characters will be killed.
A man is violently electrocuted by a wire. He then falls a few stories into a large glass tank of electric eels. They retaliate by stinging him multiple times. This scene is not graphic but may frighten younger audiences.
Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy crash through a glass rooftop. (other than a bruise on her head, and some tears in his suit they're fine, until Green Goblin/Harry Osborn comes in and attacks them, which results in a violent fight)
It will be revealed how Peter's parents die through flashbacks
Mild blood from cuts however most likely no spray of blood and no use of gore will be present

Profanity: A few uses of "damn" and "hell" (based on novel)

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Harry Osborn could be shown as a drunk
Most likely just mild drinking however
Very doubtful that drugs such as weed will be present in the film

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The fight scenes will be pretty intense
Electro's appearance and voice are rather frightening
Important characters might die
Electro/Max Dillon's back story is somewhat depressing
The opening scene is pretty intense.

Story: We've always known that Spider-Man's most important conflict has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that his greatest battle is about to begin. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp. Directed by Marc Webb. Produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. Screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner.

Likes : This new installment in Marc Webb's growing franchise pits Spider-Man against threats created behind the closed doors of Oscorp, furthermore leading him to face the price of being a hero as the ones he loves are put at risk.
Webb has taken things to a whole new level in the sequel to his 2012 re-imagining of Spider-Man. Whilst the first film spent time developing the origin of Spider-Man, this film wastes no time in swinging straight into the action. Andrew Garfield truly understands his role of witty superhero Spider-Man and this is evident right from the opening scene in which Spider-Man is dropping hilarious quips to his foes. His portrayal of Peter Parker is also top notch and he captures every nuance of the character. They couldn't have picked a more perfect actor for the role. His relationship with Gwen Stacy is still one of the best aspects of these new films. Thanks, in large part, to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's effortless chemistry, they make the relationship between their characters so easily likable, There's more tragedy packed into that moment than the original films had combined. Although this brutal event in this film take you buy surprise, i mean seriously by surprise you cant help but sit there in shock of what you've just seen, it really brings you to tears, i cant say what happen because it will give away a major spoiler but be warned this scene maybe disturb for younger viewers.
Unlike Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborn, there's no costume that looks purchased from a toy store here. This time, we have an actual menacing-looking villain played by Dane DeHaan  (that, granted, looks a bit like a homicidal leprechaun, but still...an improvement over the last Green Goblin incarnation). His physical transformation is truly horrific in how it's presented. He becomes this ghastly creature and proves to live up to the infamy as Spider-Man's greatest enemy.
Jamie fox as electro wow what a performance, absolutely brilliant playing the bad guy role, along with the fights scene leads to some spectacular special effect like a light show like with some brilliant music making this film on of the most intense superhero films to date.
unexpected plot twist, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is funny and surprising good, not disappointing in anything, the plot is human and open great opportunities for the stars of the movie, principally Andrew, Emma and Jamie Foxx. The CGI is exceptional and it's a rare real 3D case. All in all the story-line is leading to the ultimate battle between the sinister six, Rhino is not really in this film much he only got two scenes but i love the fact the show curtain scene where you see the Armour of the different guys

Dislikes : Ithink rhinos character could of been in the film a bit more & the other thing is the cert i think a curtain scene were to intense for a younger viewer i think this film should of been a 15 cert.

Overall : Brilliant performances, perfect special effects, great twist & heart breaking moments, this is a must to see.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for story-line/ special effects
