Likes : This film is your typical dysfunctional family, divorce, and a disrupted family nucleus type of film that Children of divorce will probable come to understand & see parts in this film in there own life's.Some of this film is pretty funny but its more of a mellow drama then a comedy film revolving around the main character played by Adam Scott who felt like a younger Kevin Spacey & really does pull his role off perfect.
There is a lot of wit and sarcasm instead of Hollywood cheap laughs, that most comedy film give to the audience.
The characters are engaging and the acting is very great. If your an adult child of divorce or a divorced parent who worries about your children, you're likely to recognize something in this film. (When Carter goes through his parents' divorce papers, try to catch some of the petty, ridiculous allegations each makes.) In this film, you see revealed some painful truths about human nature and complex family relationships--always with humor and compassion.
That being said, I think that it balances the two genres very well. The humor, more subtle and realistic, adds that right amount of lightheartedness to the relatable subject matter. Casting for this film is pretty good as well, it's not the greatest comedy but its is what it is for the budget it was filmed on, it wont be everyone's cup of tea but it not bad if you like the slow drama comedy film.

Dislikes : Slightly a bit to slow its hard to follow at time's, i think the pace could of been little faster but still watchable.

Overall : Very moody type comedy with the concept of divorce, slightly funny but not over the top.

Rating: 4.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.1 out of 10 for story-line/ acting
