Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Some brief, infrequent (mostly implied) references to masturbation and male genitals including sexual innuendos.

Violence & Gore: action movie hand to hand and gun combat.

-Strong, frequent hand to hand combat

-Strong, non-graphic hand violence

-Brief portrayals of torture

-Brief explicit violence

- One man stabs another man multiple times in the back. This is extremely bloody and disturbing.

- One man is shot in the neck and dies choking on his own blood. This scene is graphic and disturbing.

- One man holds another man's face against a burning surface. The man's face comes away severely burned and bloody.

- Multiple scenes with gun violence and blood.

- There is a scene where characters are exchanging gunfire and a woman and her children are nearby. This could be frightening for children.

- Multiple scenes with characters shot at close range.

Profanity:  Close to 25-27 uses of f--k, same as Liam's last R rated movie, A Walk Along the Tombstones. However because of the fast pace in this, some are easily not heard.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A brief scene in which 2 characters are doing lines of cocaine.

Multiple scenes with characters drinking and smoking.

One of the main characters is trying to convince another character to help traffic drugs into the city.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The overall tone of the movie is intense. A father and son are running for their lives, being chased by multiple people throughout the movie. There are a few scenes where children are involved, either observing violence or trying to escape it. These scenes are frightening.

Story: Professional Brooklyn hitman Jimmy Conlon is more commonly known as THE GRAVEDIGGER. Jimmy was a mob hit-man, who was best friends with his boss Sean Maguire. But when Jimmy's son, Michael, is marked for death by the mob, Jimmy must go up against Sean to protect Michael at all costs. Together, he and Michael must avoid corrupt cops, contract killers and the mob to survive the night.

Likes : This is one of those film that has the concept of the sins-of-the-fathers where it take on the revenge thrillers not quite like Taken which i really don't think Nelson can escape from that stigma of his other film's.
Although this story-line has a different type of concept where his son Mike Conlon played Joel Kinnaman get in the middle of a crime family during work where Danny Maguire (Boyd Holbrook) son of the crime boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris) shoot a drug dealer.
This is where all hell breaks loose when Danny trys to kill Mike for what his seen but get gun down by mikes estranged father Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson) which set events to spiral out of control as the streets become a war zone as the try to escape not only the mob but the corrupted police as well .
The stunts in this film are well choreographed & the car chases are brilliant shot on camera with hardly any shaky camera work to see what is happen, for Joel Kinnaman this is not a bad film from robocop this guy is pretty talented actor when it comes to thriller films.
The scene of Ed Harris and Liam Neeson in a restaurant across from each other, face to face, is like the scene of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's iconic scene in Michael Mann's "Heat," the difference is Ed and Liam's characters share a background in this film they were once friends until this incident , you get to see Ed and Liam both stating their cases, exchanging threats, it's a display of caliber performances, anytime you get two heavyweight actors like this in a room together, you'd want them to throw lines at each other that would set the tone for the rest of the movie, that there's going to be bloodbath from that point forward.
The storyline is easy to follow unlike some movies who have (3) sub-plots, 18 different people to keep track of and a dialog spoken where you can only understand every 3rd word. A long movie but because of the content time goes too quickly so this is a very fast paced film unlike taken or non-stop which is good because it keep the film following.
This is better than among the tombstone film Liam did last as that was painfully slow but this wasn't a bad thriller film to watch.

Dislikes : Action wise it was lack a little but overall story was great, but you can help but compare these films to taken because liam is being stereo type for these role.

Overall : Great action scene, good stunt choreography, great acting , good revenge film.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.9 out of 10 for concept.
