Not sure why this film has got alot of bad review as this film was actual good in my opinion, really dive deep in to the mind of a person with a split personality one that is soft at heart where the other side is a psychotic alpha pushing voice in to the head of the person to act out of character.
This is played brilliantly by Jake Hoffman who bring a slightly disturbing performance as psychologically damaged person who has to use dub step music to drown out the voices which are played brilliantly from Thomas Dekker who represents the voice in his head pushing him to snap.
Nikki Reed play a well down to earth girl that seem pretty normal at first but there is a twist to her character which i never saw coming that was cleverly hidden, unlike the rest of the film which was a little predictable, but her performance is brilliant.
Surprise to see Scott Bakula from the quantum leap series in this looking his age now, he had a few scene i though he could of had more involvement with this film since he was a psychologist, but his scene are believable.
This film actual dose a good job of defining the line between softer and empathetic approaches to extreme mental health issues and the medical model which aims to kill and destroy deviant and unacceptable thoughts and behaviors. I liked the interplay of these opposing views as it goes back & forth made it most believable.
The Dub-step EDM music was cleverly used in the film, Reza Safinia songs created a great atmosphere into this weird triply world of mental illness & despite the bad review this film got this is a great film to watch.
Dislikes : The pacing can be a little questionable at time but other than that this is a good film.
Overall : Disturbing in places, great music if you in to dub-step, great performances
