Sex & Nudity: Beth jokes with a friend about his desire to pursue Taylor while "the sheets are still warm" from his just-ended relationship with Leann. Beth and Taylor wear tight, cleavage-baring tops.

Violence & Gore:Although the cover of the film may look VERY scary, this film is not based on blood and gore and is more aimed for scares high intensity.
Note: The film does have violence, but the majority of it is relatively bloodless.

Likes :  I get why people have put this film don't, but it like every remake of a film that from a Japanese original always gets put down, this really isn't as bad as everyone make it out to be.The ingredients for a horror to work is to kept the film dark & atmospheric with a creepiness that get under your skin, this film dose all of the above which make this a good horror film despite it being a remake of 2003s version.
There is something creepy that an evil spirit can use the telephone to kill you, but unlike the the film the ring with the video tape then the phone call, this is a phone call that will leave you your last moments of life, that to me is creepy in itself. Shannyn Sossamon plays role of an only child who father died when she was young, only to become faced with death as each one of her friends drop dead after a phone call, she plays this brilliantly to give a believable character.Edward Burns plays the reluctant hero in this film trying to track down what is causing this, he performance is good as always.
Alone with the special, the creepy moments when you see curtain things, you mind kind to start to drift in to this dark cold place you get a cold chill down your spine, despite what people may think of this film, this is pretty creep & dark. I've never seen the original film but then im not much one for Japanese film, i just cant get in to them of find them creepy when you watch the subtitles all the time, they don't have the same atmosphere to which you find creepy unless your from the country the film is from, but this isn't to bad, ive seen some worst horror film than this.
I wouldn't say its a perfect horror, but its still a great horror film to watch as it has everything a horror should be with some creepy scary moments to spine chilling moment's, what i will say though this film might not be for everyone as lot of people have expressed their disappointment in this film from the remake but a stand alone film its pretty good with a creepy child's tune.

Dislikes : I think this film could of done with more creepy death scene, i just think it was a little short on that but not a bad effect for a horror film.

Overall : Creepy moments, scary scenes, good acting

Rating: 4 out of 5 for entertainment / 6 out of 10 for story-line/ dark creepy theme
