Story: When a terrorist attack on Washington D.C. leaves three war veterans who are suffering from PTSD trapped in an elevator together, the isolation and highly stressful situation brings previous wartime experiences to the surface, and while dark forces are at work outside the elevator, a battle for control and survival ensues inside.
Likes : This isn't a bad film, the twist was a nice touch, make the film interesting enough to keep watching it, i would go as far as to say its nothing fresh but still a good film as events unfold, the acting is pretty solid.
The theme of the film is not bad give the film the intense isolation claustrophobic feel with the intense feeling knowing that they might die with the currant situation going on out side the building.
This is where this film takes on a dark tone as you have three soldiers trap in a lift that have all suffered some war trauma that given them post traumatic stress disorder you start to notice cracks appearing in their personality's as the film moves alone at a steady pace.
This film is a perfect example of government thinking which really does show in this film, the ending was a little predictable but a nice touch to end a film although i would say its been done before, there not much well know actors in this film apart from one actress Jennifer Morrison who was in warrior & star trek ,she play's the main lend role in this film her performance was believable you kind of feel yourself routing for her to survivor.This is not a brilliant thriller type film but still worth watch for a one time view if you like thriller film's, but this wont be to everyone's tastes.
Dislikes : Just the plot was a little weak i think it could of been done better.
Overall : intense claustrophobic feel, pretty good acting, not bad casting, ok story-line
Rating: 3.7 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.8 out of 10 for story-line/ concept.
