Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: The Lego Movie contains no sex or nudity.

Violence & Gore:Bad cop ends up gluing his parents.
Several fights between Lego characters including punching and flipping, this is also nonviolent and meant to have a cartoonish feel.
A character's head is cut off with a sharp disk and dies (the whole scene mostly comical and non-gory).
In a car chase, sheriff's deputy figures fire automatic weapons with plastic lasers at a male figure (he is not struck); a nearby wall falls on another figure (we do not see the outcome). A police figure drives his cruiser across the tops of moving train cars, shoots out a trestle, and causes three other figures to fall off the bridge and onto the ground (they are unharmed).
In two scenes, a female figure saves a male figure from robot attacks by using karate kicks and punches to knock down the attackers.
A Bad Cop chases a construction worker and a freedom fighter on foot; other cops join Bad Cop and they all shoot plastic pieces (lasers) at the two, simulating handguns and automatic rifles, hitting no one; the construction worker falls off a motorcycle (no injury is visible).
A Bad Cop arrests several figures as other cops handcuff them and lead them away to a skyscraper; cops chain the captives, stand them in small compartments and shock them with electricity. We see sparks as they shout in pain.
A CEO orders his computer mainframe to "destroy everyone" with a time bomb.
A horde of robots attack and glue many civilians, while others are fighting them with makeshift machines.
A construction worker builds a giant mech and attacks a horde of robots alongside others

Profanity: 5 mild anatomical terms, 14 mild obscenities, 7 altered religious exclamations (e.g., "Oh my Gosh"), and quite a few minced oaths (e.g., dang, darn, darny darn, Oh man!, heck, Wow, gosh, et al.)
Name-calling (hippy dippy baloney, stupid, crazy, insane, dumb, loser, lame, ding dong, dorky, old man, useless, liar, cowardly, special snowflake, unspecial and weird.)
Stereotypical (though unoffensive) references to wizards, heroes, Big Business CEOs, Big Oil, women, men, followers, the police, cats, Mexicans, the Scottish, TV personalities, micromanagers and controlling fathers.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Cowboy figures drink from glasses of what may be beer in a saloon scene.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Nothing too intense for young viewers.

Story: The LEGO Movie is a 3D animated film which follows lead character, Emmet a completely ordinary LEGO mini-figure who is identified as the most "extraordinary person" and the key to saving the Lego universe. Emmet and his friends go on an epic journey to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business.

Likes : Wow this is a movie for the kid, which is not bad they've really paid alot detail attention to the look of the lego & characters, in a lego style city which was pretty cool apart from the dam song which get stuck in your head. Some of the jokes were a little cheesy & over the top it was like watching a hype active kid run around on screen, but you have to bear in mind that this film is aimed more for the children that would probable love this film.
Some part were funny with bad cop & batman one-liner jokes, it was like watch a game just on a movie style when there were building things, The voice casting was excellent, especially Liam Neeson's split personality police officer, making the 2 personalities sound distinctive, and giving his Bad Cop the usual Liam Neeson tough guy. A combination of adult and child friendly humour should entertain all, the movie has done well to ensure audiences of all ages are catered to.
The Lego Movie accurately and effectively recreates that creative space through accessible movie magic. It exhibits a fun hero story that may not be treading new narrative ground but nonetheless feels fresh and new. Finally the themes and occasionally biting humor makes The Lego Movie a kid's film that isn't just for kids but the child in all of us.

Dislikes : The only flaw in this film really was the subplot story-line it was a little messy & all over the place but apart from that kids should enjoy this film, The music was annoying after a while "everything is awesome" its the type of song that get stuck in your head & this film is overrated no where near the 8.3 imdb gave this film.

Overall : great film for kids, some funny one-liners, story was ok although a little flawed.

Rating: 4.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.4 out of 10 for story-line/ funny one-liners
