Film Review: Paranormal Activity 4

Genre: paranormal Horror, contains strong paranormal violence & dark concept
Cert: 18 cert

Story: It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, and a suburban family witness strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in & all hell breaks loss as strange thing start to happen around them.

Likes : I was a big fan of the first film, fan of the second film ,i wasn't to much with the 3rd film i think the ending of the 3rd film ruined & now this 4Th instalment of paranormal activity, to be honest there is not much i can say in the word of liking this film other than the fact i still find Katie Featherston absolutely gorgeous as ever, even tho she playing the demonic ghost of Katie from the first film.Kathryn Newton plays Alex the older teenage girl of the family across the street that get all this trouble when this boy turns up to stay with them Brady Allenwho plays the boy Robbie who from the get go you can see there is just something not right about this kid, Matt Shively plays the friend of boyfriend of Alex who helps her video tape everything, they start pick up some strange stuff happen on camera. Now some of this film was OK where other just weren't but this film was far from perfect in scares like the first film.

Dislike: One this film lack the scare factor for me, it was so boarding to watch & had no jumpy moments what so every, i through they mite of improve with the failure of the end of the 3rd film but this seriously was the worst pile of crap Ive ever seen, it felt lazy & the storyline was lacking in horror, it felt like because the first two film's were such successful they try to think well that make the film any way we can & people buy into it,to be honest it felt like a bad version of grave encounters feel they've tried to copying off another horror film to make this work, even tho i think Katie is beautiful & has this great acting skill for a menacing character in her own right, this film failure to excite me in fear & suspense & its lack that dark menacing edge which sinister had which to be honest was far better than this paranormal activity 4 film. In my opinion this film should of gone  straight to DVD because it wasn't by far a cinema realise. I think its had its day from the first & second film, after that this series of film in my mind have gone down hill it was a big let down in storyline & pace was to slow & predicable.

Overall : It depends on what scares you,i didn't find this film scary, it lack jumpiness & horror,it wont appeal to everyone, but i wouldn't waste you money at the cinema with this one, wait for the DVD realise.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 for horror/ 3.5 out of 10 for entertainment & storyline.
